    Default Got the engine out...

Now all I have to do is wait on the clutch to get here, and just throw it all back in.

Now do you see why it'd be harder to change it with the engine still in...?

Lol no...Can't you tell by the picture? He'd have to disconnect all the lines and miscellaneous things and then drop the subframe or whatever that thing is and then drop the tranny and then try and put a clutch on while its in the car...I'd imagine that'd be a *****.

ok... So to my suprise, the clutch actually showed up early today, so I went to the shop this afternoon to get started on it... I got bolted up, and set it in the bay, but after 4 hours of fighting with it, I gave up until tomorrow when I can get some help... It just would not line up what so ever. If I had a proper chain/leveler, it'd be fine, but with the strap it just puts it at a weird angle and its a ***** to man handle it. I'm pissed to say the least.

I have done AWD suby clutches... I always just dropped the tranny. Seemed easy enough to me. Of course this is using a lift, not sure if you had access to that or not.

Yeah, if theres a lift its no problem, but when its on stands theres no room to drop it. Not to mention that the tranny with the diff weighs about 250lbs

Traffic and stiff clutches don't mix too well... Just thought I'd throw that out there.
