Btw, lovinmydodge, you build, design, and install car audio, right? According to you here (see post #5), you do. If so, how come you couldn't even wire up a set of subwoofers correctly according to your comment here in your Youtube video? Your install in your truck looks bland and it even resulted in "smashed" speakers according to yourself in that video. You claim to build boxes also (refer back to link 1) but just three days ago, you had to ask how to cut speaker holes here. When sound deadening material was discussed here on IA, you mentioned SSA like you knew who they were and you just barely learned who they are here just a few days ago. With the way you came barging in on IA like you are the newly crowned king of car audio, it's just common sense that someone like that is usually full of shit. Amirite?

Just sayin'.
I'll start by saying this. I had the subs wired wrong. When I originally designed the box to be single chambered. Then added a second chamber and second speaker terminal. I never changed the voice coils around on the quad 2 ohm voice coils on that sub. SO I had then removed the second amp that I was using. and had just dropped the second wire back to the first amp. IN doing so I assumed that the amp would be seing a 1 ohm load to each sub but it showed to be wrong. I was seeing a 2 ohm load to each sub because I had messed up the wiring and one side of the quad line had come unhooked. Second I knew who SSA was because about four or five months ago I bought the XXX 15 I have now from ANT at ssa. As for the hole cutting out thing I myself have seen different ppl use different tools to make the hole cut out. I just wanted to know what other ppl used on their router. not that I didn't know anything about building them or that i was new at it. Truth be told you took the three times you knew about anything I had posted from general ideas that I was asking about ( which my questions were all in a desire to gather opinions ) and assumed I knew nothing. Truth be told I have built a lot of boxes. NO at the time it was a crappy install and I'll admit that. And now the sub I have is in a proper box at proper wiring. problem is now that I dont have the right amp. The sub is running off a JL 1000/1 amp and only seeing at best 1200 rms. where the sub is rated at 2000rms. Also how many people do you see running things like the selenium drivers and woofers in their rides? I see quite a few. OR the Tang bang woofers. I believe the current sq comp ride only hits like a 138 or 139 and he is using some of the home audio speakers in his ride. * Details I don't know all he is using but I do know that he is using some line from a home audio company* I don't claim to know everything about car audio. I do know this much tho. If they should like shit they were either hooked up wrong or you don't have enough power, Or they were blown. Home audio is a lot more efficent and watt for watt they usually have a higher sensitivity. Now if you have something else you have a problem with me you can send me a message pm me or what ever. I simply just stated that if it didn't sound good chances are they were improply installed.
