    Default Kicker ZX750.1 Problem!

I had my Kicker ZX750.1 amp hooked up for 2 months if that. Everything was well till today when I decided to drive off. I was listening to music, and realized my subs were not working at all. I thought someone stole them, and I got highly pissed. The amp does not turn on at all. The last time the car was running this same amp was working, then all of a sudden without anyone messing with it, it decides to mess up. I checked all fuses/wiring. Everything is correct.

Luckily, I had a ZX300.1 amp in my room. I plug it in and all works well. I hook up the 750.1 and all is NOT well. So something is wrong. There is also a "turn-on" selector switch from "+12V", "Audio", or "Power" Neither of those cuts on the amp. Somehow, the amp decided to fail without anything happening to it.

Does anyone know what could possibly happened? This amp is not cheap, so I would like to get it repaired if it is not a big problem. I did not smell any burned electronics or anything. And it seems fairly odd why this would just go out like this.

you should check if its connected correctly to the battery, or check the ground wire

both is also good, I hooked up a zx300.1, that works fine. i hook up the 750.1, it doesn't work fine, i double checked everything, and i did isolate the problem to the 750.1.

what is very strange, last time the car was on, the amp was fully functional. the next time, nothing. no one touched the car. I'm just wondering how an amp could mess up overnight with no one messing with it. so now, i'm just running a 300.1 till i get the 750.1 repaired or buy another one.

My kicker did this. I took it out put my diesal amp in, played fine nothing changed. Well I gave my diesal amp to my friend and fig. I'd put the kicker back in just for kicks. It worked like nothing happend. I'd say it was out of my car for a month.

yeah, this amp is acting pretty retarded. I might just end up buying another of the same amp and get this one checked out, or try to hook it up another time, for the time being, i can live off that 300.1 for a while, doesn't sound nearly as good though.

Seems like your amp is female....wants to "put out" some times, but not all the time.

the one i have already, which is actually my brothers i'm borrowing till i put in his stereo. we got for $60 something shipped, pretty much new condition, works fine. I'm not really wanting a 300.1 unless it is very cheap like that. I would settle with a 500.1, but again. i liked my 750.1 alot even though i don't use it to it's potential.

Oh alright jw cause I was gonna say you could just get a cheap diesal amp off ebay for like $200... Mine pushes the hell out of my diamond 12's, the amp blew my 15's. They were ridiculous anyway lol.
