Dude, +1000 for you. This kind of shit makes me so mad. It doesn't matter if its just a small fine its the point. This shit happens all the time. Judges think they are all powerful and people just lay down and pay instead of not letting them do whatever they want. Do whatever you can (legally) to be a pita to that judge

Met with the judge today. Wasn't sure what to expect. He was very apologetic and explained to me that he thought I said a multipurpose passenger vehicle was defined as a vehicle designed to carry 10 or MORE people (the law actually states 10 or less), and therefore ruled against me.

Then he cut me a check for $139.

Funny thing, a sherrif followed me all the way out of the county though.
