What exactly does it hurt, hinder, judge, or in anyway keep you from any business you have to conduct in a courthouse or gov't building?

If you walk into your friend's house and it's a freaking mess, do you walk right back out proclaiming, "since I keep my house spotless I refuse to come into yours because it's messy..."???? Or do you just suck it up and do what you have to do?

If you go into the courthouse, you have BUSINESS to conduct 99% of the time. Not many people go there to "hang out" and "discuss" life. You go there because you have to do something and get back to your normal routine life. Most people try their damnest to get out faster than they came in.

So why in the world would some statue or some plaque bother someone as they are barreling down a hallway to go pay a ticket or look up something? I'm willing to bet that the courthouses that still have anything remotely associated with this, not one single person that spends a regular amount of time (every once in a while) can off the top of their head name WHERE that plaque or statue IS in their own courthouse. As a matter of fact, most of the time IF it even still exists it is out near the parking lot or in some atrium or lobby. ONE place you pass by in mere seconds, IF EVER.

Why is it that in the year 2006 we are so caught up with trying to change something that was instituted back in 1776? Why not focus our efforts and time on changing things/laws that will benefit MANY rather than satisfy a few squeeky wheels? Political correctness is going to be the death of America as we know it. Everyone is always trying to re-invent the wheel.

It's ironic that people will easily and readily accept the "church's" charity when THEY NEED something, but then want to argue with you to death that there is NO GOD.

My opinion? I don't care either way. My faith is not based on some monument, so it's no skin off my back either way....stay or go. I just get tired of people putting so much emphasis on stuff that in the grand scheme of things doesn't matter.
