hi
I have the car finally and im exhausted. I passed the Emissions test with flying colors... The emissions numbers were incredibly low. The dyno numbers were not what I hoped for.... until I found out I am only at 8lbs of boost. So next purchase is boost controller and downpipe. Numbers were 180ish hp and 190ish tq. He forgot to print a sheet so im just going to wait until I get the boost controller and DP before I dyno it again.
Other than that..... Holy shhhhiiiiiiiitttttt I love BOOST
Finaly man congrats

decided on these wheels.... I have a few things I need to get before rims and tires to get the car safe to drive... i.e. Belts, hoses, axle seals... Just replaced front/rear brake pads and turned the rotors. Need to get Sparco seat bases for the Leather NRG seats I have at the house. Also need to get the Horn working and ghetto rig some front blinkers (may just get the mirrors w/ the blinkers... may not have a choice lol)
These are made by Drifz (same company that makes the rims on my civic) im going to get 17 x 9 in the rear and 17 x 8 in the front....
those will look good man.

2006 Evo IX - Bolt ons
well... i didnt break anything. lol I took it to my dads shop to get belts changed, axle seals, oil change, Fuel Pump, Fuel Filter, etc... Just a few things that needed to be replaced. Got it on the lift and noticed there was no retaining clip in the axles. Also realized that the Intermediate shaft and Axle bearing were not fitting properly.... defective? So im taking the shaft to R2B2 tomorrow and hopefully the new one will be in tomorrow. The retaining clip wouldn't fit into the bearing bracket.
They are going to start on the fuel pump tomorrow which involves pulling the tank.

............ well i just called my dad and they just got the tank off. 4 hours later lol
he is just going to change it out w/ the new one and i'll sell the old one.
I told you awhile back you should make sure because I was sure that it had a N/A PUMPOriginally Posted by ©hris
I just hope you're upgrading that pia to a supra or walbro pump
2006 Evo IX - Bolt ons
it want a N/A the same pump that came from the 3sgte clip is the one i spent 4 hours installing one saturday at vinhs body shopOriginally Posted by TIGERJC
I wouldn't consider it a clip since it didn't come in the clip(back half).
I just hope he is upgrading the pump now and is going to upgrade fuel rail too since the stock fuel rail tend to lend out the 3rd cyl

..... more bad news..... its not real real bad....looking at another week of being on the lift.
i'll explain later....

Ok…. Car is running great now. 5 months later lol
Here was the issue. I was leaking tranny fluid from my axles. My belts were worn pretty bad too. I found out that AAP/R2B2 had installed the wrong axles and intermediate shaft. I had no idea that the JDM Turbo axles are different than the USDM Turbo axles…. Well apparently they are. So my mechanic at my dads shop (great mechanic) modified the axles to fit somehow and also modified the hanger/bracket that holds the bearing on the intermediate shaft so it fits as well. So now I have no leaks, new belts, brand new 3SGTE Fuel Pump and filter…..
The car still is not nearly as fast as I want it to be. I think I may have a boost leak too. My factory boost gauge doesn’t work very well… the needle sticks. But when I accelerate sometimes I lose boost pressure in higher RPMs…. Only occasionally it does this. I wonder if I need to adjust my BOV….
