I think its all in the car and the kit. There are certain cars that look 10x better with a kit, but then again it all depends on the style of the kit. Theres a lot of kits that are just way too played out, and aren't really made to flow with a certain car (ie. blitz kits). I think a lip kit looks good on most cars.

So are the body kits gay because the actual parts are having ass sex with eachother, or are they gay because of an association with gay people? Because gay people are supposed to have style and taste. I don't think any self respecting homo would be caught dead in some of the:
primered,
combat body-kitted,
stock steel wheeled,
bolt-on winged,
mad tyte JDM yo'd out
ricers
that I've seen on Barrett Pkwy or Pleasant Hill. I don't think body kits are gay:idb: , I just think they look bad.

Body kits are terribile as a general rule. The black Lexus posted earlier is an exception to that rule. I think that there really are some bodykits that might enhance a car's lines while adding intercooler room, etc. But for the most part, a car with a body kit is like a person with a bad nose job.

I do agree with that 90% of the body kits on ANY car look shit. I also agree that 90% of the car CAN look good with a kit IF they are done correctly and are not going for the crazy import fast and furious look....

if some1 wants to put a kit on there car...you can't tell them not to. If your a friend you should suggest not to or another idea. Do whatever the hell you feel like. If u like kits, do a kit, but DO IT RIGHT. no this shitty half ass fit, no paint, shitty mesh, doesn't flow with the car, etc...

It all depends all the car. Like MY car, no. A body kit would be pointless unless I had lots of money. And then again, if I had lots of money, I wouldn't have this car. But I have nothing against them, although they can make or break a car's "image" you know??

i'm not against body kits, its just the extent that people take it to that will determine if its class or trash:


me for example. i have a CRX, i put a body kit on my CRX (GASP!!!) but i will never in my life put a wing, or stickers, or an annyoing lawn-mowerish exhaust tip or any dumbass shit of that nature....

in my case, in my own opinion, i felt that the stock body was too sqare for me, and i'm not into square. so with the kit, i get the cut angles, as in the hatch and sides, but then the body flows together. my car, i like it, curvy. and if you look at it from the front it looks like a little hippo with ears, i think its cute.....lol.

i also prefer 90's cars to new cars, and 70's to 80's. i hate too boxy cars (land rover, wtf), and too bubbly cars (intrepid) .i was going to buy an older 911 a few weeks back, i love the front, but i CANT STAND the cuts in the back, and that was the decision breaker for me. its all just preference....

I think body kits on 240s are hot. Mainly cause 240's look like shit stock. Well mainly the pig nose. I can live with all the others.

I remember back when the tuner scene first started coming about as a little kid. Body kits were pretty much only available for cars like RX7s and Supras, and that's when they were cool. Now I wouldn't put a body kit on any of my cars, but theres still some out there that look good. Same goes for lip kits. Some are nice, others aren't. As for me and my cars, I'll keep all stock body lines.

I like lip kits but I can honestly say that not all body kits are gay, eg.- Mugen bodykit for civic, crx, and RSX, Buddy Club bodykit for EG civic, Versus kit for EVO, and so on. All of these bodykits are simple, clean, and look good. Anybody that disagrees IS gay.
