I actually like some JDM kits...that is actual JDM from the manufacturer not the fake shit.
a bodykit is ok if it doesn't F*&% up the design of a car, for example having a nice round style car and having boxy side skirts.

I think that if they match the lines of the car properly and are installed properly, its perfectly fine. I dislike things that are too busy or have too many angles. Its like the pic of the S14 with that ugly bodykit - it has way too much going on in the front and it sticks out way too far, which makes it look horrible.
IMO if you've got the money for less-important things like a body kit, then do it... but make sure you're car has the balls to back it up. If you're pretty much stock as far as performance goes, i would say spend the money on engine/suspension mods.
Nothing makes me laugh harder than seeing the mexicans (and wiggers) around here in g-ville with exstensive body work done on the exterior, with nothing more than a fart cannon in the performance department.

i can't stand body kits on civics, accords, preludes and the such...
i think it looks amazing on more expensive cars like any kind of lexus, supra, rx-7, or even some lambo's and ferraris
for instance... hers an Auto Couture kit on my car... all it does is enhance the original lines, it doesn't try to change the car all together like some cheap Honda kits... if you have an older Acura or Honda or something just be proud of what you got, dont try and get a kit to make it into an entirely different looking car

the only reason i have the bumper i have is for better cooling/intercooler space. The only reason im doing side skirts is because they are factory Mazda pieces. But now that im actually on the track and trying to get looks, im adding the wing... it wont be very functional, i know, but i like the look... its not like ANY wing is functional on a drift car... but they still put them on

Thats is why I keep the lines of the Prelude simples. Only thing I got is a WWRS Kit. Though possibly in the near future an oem kit is on the way but I like the WWRS kit makes it stand out and looks like Im the only one on IA who has one. And then of course the Type S spoiler which keeps looking at me like it wants to rape me but overall Im happy on how my car loooks. Honda=lip kit or a few body kit...like I mean 1% should go on a Honda.

Certain kits...I guess like lip kits...look nice. I don't like those OD super-washboard double throwdown, ribbed-the-fuck-out kits at all.
Some make me feel like doing this...but hey...whatever floats your boat.
