It depends on weight also. Sure, a little Civic is ok with 500rwhp, but a Excursion is still slow with 500rwhp.

Pick a power-to-weight ratio that you are impressed with, weigh your car, and you can figure out how much power is enough....

I hate to say this, but how much power your car makes doesn't matter for magazines. What does matter is if one of your sponsors has taken an add out in the magazine. I learned this the hard way.

and then gt them to take out a big ass ad in the mag you want to be in. Most of the time features and covers are negotiated as part of the ad deal.

there was a volvo in euro tuner that was ricey as hell with nothing but a little bolt ons.... BUT he did have a huge ass alluminum wing and some fygly vynil.... he had no sponsors with adds in any mag and Evolve has a car in european car for Jan... they do not advertise either.... My volvo will walk either.... and I have a system(a tasteful but very nice system.)

I was waiting for the evolve car to go public before I posted a dyno sheet...

I'm not sure how Euro works. I spent many years wondering why our cars weren't making it into magazines. We've had plenty of fast ass cars. At first I was told that their exteriors were "too mundane". Like the Evo was silver but broke the stock HP record twice. The Supra was black and it didn't matter that it had broken an ET record on street tires for a privateer team. Apparently silver and black are too common of colors. Then I started to see other Slower Supras and a Silver Evo on the cover making less HP. Then I had some discussions with some of our sponsors and some of the mag editors once I got to know them. That's how I found out how things work. I assume there are probably some exceptions to these rules......

yeah, they did say that my car was not as "visualy appealing" as they would like. They literaly recomended an aluminum or CF wing and to find some graphics I liked... I don't want to be in a mag that bad.

    hmmm... thats gay

Someone needs to make a magazine about cars that people actualy drive and build with their own hands and money.

I think that's how most of the mags start out. They use regualr cars at first until they get their subscriptions to a certain level then they go after the fast and furious cars from that point.
