I must have misunderstood your point, sir. I wasn't talking about amount of cars owned, lolol.

I realize this thread has gone on a bit (and it seems onto a slightly different tangent), but back to the OP, I feel you 100%.

I'm still driving a 2003 WRX as my daily, and it has been, and continues to be, a great car. But I am so tired of the kind of attention it brings and the stigma associated with it in many people's minds.

It's funny, because I remember back in high school and college thinking how it's going to be so awesome once I have a fulltime income and will have money to modify whatever awesome import I would undoubtedly have. Now I cant wait until I get a daily that won't associate me with the "scene" anymore.

You guys are forgetting that the Konig Tantrum was the original knockoff of the Advan 7-spoke. For some odd reason, the Motegi version was way more popular...maybe because it was cheaper than the Konig. No one remembers the Tantrums, the Monsoons, Caffeines, Rated-R....man, Konig wheels were super popular before Motegi.

My dad had a set on his Mazda Millenia... He cracked a spoke on the factory rims, so he replaced them with those.

Sometimes dads surprise us. I'm sure once my son and daughter get older they'll think I'm lame lol

Only read OP but. The quality of cars was really shitty this IA.. I ended up leaving for food because half of the cars there looked like a pos.. Almost wish body kits were cool still, at least I wouldn't have been like "did that car move and park somewhere else again??" all fucking day..
