I just don't follow the reasoning. I never even notice mine when I look at my car. And RainX doesn't help during heavy rain.

Talking about removing windshield wipers for a cleaner look is like a fat person talking about how he needs to remove his radio to save weight in his car so it'll be faster...

But real talk, if I had a weekend car, I would probably remove the wipers. But on my daily driven street car, fuck that.

It's stupid. If I ever thought it was a good idea, I would realize how much of an idiot I was when driving virtually blind on a rainy day or getting soaked to the bone trying to put my wipers back on.

Buy a newer car, they all hide the wipers now.

If you go to a show, then I can understand taking them off. It looks nicer. Especially for you honda guys.

What if your wipers never worked in the first place because the person you bought the car from jacked the harness up?? So, the next best thing is to strip the entire car of parts that are not needed. Like wipers, heat, power brakes, p/s, a/c, etc.... what's that mean???

I take my windows out. IF it starts to rain I just put them back in. Makes my car look cleaner. Plus it reduces the weight. And if I get in a crash I can just jump out before impact

My subaru is the first car in about 5 years that I have owned that I have left the wipers on. Both my Dakota's, my civic, SRT4 and RX7 never had wipers on them. Rain or not. Rain-X all the way. If you don't keep your window clean (ie. every week) then it doesn't work so well but I showed both my trucks and never had a problem when it rained. It's to each there own but It looked 100 time cleaner.

100% hands down. With wipers you rely on a part to take the water off the window. With rain-x it sheds off the window with just the movement of the car or if its raining hard enough, just that. Its when its just barley pissing rain that it sucks until about 30mph. You cant even tell its raining until you go under street lights when its raining hard. When rain-x is use properly and you keep the window clean its just as good as wipers if not better. If you don't believe me try it. If you have and still think the same your applying it wrong or just lying to yourself. JITB I'd venture a guess you've never tried it with the comment you made. Not trying to get into an argument. I just know from experience how well it works and wouldn't think twice about pulling wipers off my DD and applying rain-x. I just don't EVER clean my current car now because it 1. I don't care about it and 2. It looks better muddy . Is it legal to not have wipers in the rain.... highly doubt it but Ive never been bothered for it or had problems seeing in the rain.

I used to use rainX on my windows, but stopped buying it. but i wax it from time tot time. and have a need for clean windows..lol.

but as long as your moving im sure it works, but in traffic and its pouring down rain, is when you need your wipers.

Even if you're moving, if it's raining hard enough... All the RainX in the world won't help you.
