    Default Wheels for Meh Z

I am buying wheels for my 1986 300zx, and i came across a set of stern st8 for a good price and the right offset for my car, which is amazing considering my car is horrible to find such a offset for a good price. Anywho they are 18x8.5 5x114.3 +20, i am vary worried about a perfomance loss with these wheels, stock my car calls for 15s and some years have 16s and there non turbo. How much power would i lose? would it be noticeable, if so were would i loose it at, im curious about the weight of one wheel also...cant find it. i originally wanted 16s or 17s for my car but i took it to a shop and 18s just look so nice on it and fill the massive wheel well. budget FTL

    Any help is apperciated, thanks

You wouldn't actually lose any power. You might feel the weight of the wheels, but it isn't anything life changing. I went from 16s on an older car of mine to 18s. Yes, I did feel the difference before and after installing the wheels, but it wasn't so bad that I wanted to take them off of the car.

If you are that concerned about performance, I wouldn't roll with 18s on the car. This is possibly one of those debates of form v function.
