Yea, my car ran 13.9's with a B18C swap (IHE) and 12.9's with a 75 shot. My goal is to do 12.9's on slicks on the motor. Im sure your buddies car is fast for what it is, I wasnt trying to knock it or say it was slow. More of if my car runs 12.6's itd be slow, but a full weight street car, 12.6's is plenty quick for most people.
I feel I need to address an issue thats come up in PM's. An H2B swap is not a drop in, re-wire a couple things and go swap like a B series swap is.
When you buy an Evo or QSD kit, all that does is allow the motor to mate to the tranny properly and mount into the car in the proper location. Before you can drive the car though or even put the swap in you need to address the balance shaft pulley's, add a new drain plug, do something with the crank pulley, modify a header (or purchase a custom piece) and re-locate the altenator/beat -bang - cut the frame rail.
There are some cheap ways around all of this of course but do require some skill and labor. Now if your wanting a straight drop in H2B swap I can get you everything you need so that the only thing you need to do is re-wire your harness and add a resistor box if your changine to peak and hold injectors. Its kind of pricey compared to a normal QSD kit only because I have to buy the header and modify it.
Thanks for all the compliments, I should have some more progress very soon!!!
