Way to much money for me. I'd rather start building a house or something with that kind of dough. Maybe build a K-swapped civic in their somewhere. Haha.

And you can buy an SI, NSX, and some ITR's for that money, don't think there are that many Honda nut swingers that can or would pull together the kind of money for that, and I thought the Mugen SI was too much.

I think it looks sick as fuck.

I'll probably wait until the price depreciate a little though.. as in like ~20% of what it is right now

$16-20k for a that car isn't bad if you think about it. An 09 civic si goes for a little bit more than that. Say both their values depreciate in the next 3-5 years, an si would still be ~9-10k? Throw another 6k in and you'll have a rare and mean looking civic that not a lot of other people will have.

    I agree 100%.

But at the end of the day your in an $80,000 suped up fwd economy coupe synonimous with the term "ricer" that will almost certainly blend in with every other honda civic except for the .5% of the population who would distinguish the car as a mugen rr.

With as many honda lovers there are in this country, that civic will NEVER depreciate to 20k unless it's been totaled.

I think you just don't have sense and are taken easily by names.

For 80K, you are at the point where you could build a group N race civic.

But, that's you so i'm not one to judge.

Ricer is thought of with GTR just as equally as Civic.

After driving a Mugen Civic my view on a 30k Civic QUICKLY changed...

If I had to drop $80,000 on a Honda...it'd have to be an NSX. The car's nice and all for its exclusivity, but honestly...it's still a Civic.

i fail to see how in any mindset, other than a delusional one, a civic of any kind is worth 80k.

i've never seen mediocrity so highly worshiped.

for 80k you can have this \/ and still have cash to spare.

at least if you drove this you could have a reason to be an asshole about how much better your car is than everyone else's.

Is it really that good? I know the Civic is really fun to kick around and it's always willing to play no matter how hard you thrash it, but I still can't imagine how it could warrant an $80,000 tag, even with the 40 bhp bump and the rarity of only 300 being built. I could get an Audi RS4 Cabriolet for that much...only 300 of those in the US. Maybe I'm just missing the glow of enthusiasm around this car.

I can almost understand for the Experimental Spec Mugen RR...it looks wild with all the carbon fiber and aluminum, but I still can't figure how it'd fetch more than $40,000. Must take a real enthusiast/collector.

The Mugen Civic I drove really was fun, bone stock. It's not just a Civic with a body kit, there is some real crazy things on the car, it handeled really well and was a blast to drive, the power was not huge or anything, the motor is a stock K20 in those I think, but still that powerband is fun. I wouldn't buy one, because I would rather have something else for 30k, but I really think it's WORTH 30k.

I know it's got some suspension bits and it's lightened up a bit, right? That last line makes sense.

i love honda's just as much as you do, but 80k?

i think i would be more willing to join the military and go to japan and buy it. free shipping back to the states and then just pay to have it registered and titled.

which if things play my way right now, i will be in the military and maybe get stationed in japan for a little while. if thats the case, i will be coming back with a car.

just gotta see how things play out, cause i don't want to get too far ahead of myself, lol.

oh, car looks really good, but they should have made it a coupe instead.

Not true at all, and you know it.

Simon for 30k you could buy a hyundai gensis coupe brand new, that's RWD, comes with brembos, LSD, with either the 2l turbo or 305hp v6, and still have 4-6k left to mod the car with. Civics are great but there are better cars out there for THAT price to modify. Hell, if I could fit in one comfortably I'd buy a miata over a civic.

Is it a civic sedan, with a 4 banger....? Exactly....

The type of person I view that would buy this car would be a honda nutswinger and would buy this just to show it off to all the other honda lovers as how JDM he is. I mean you could easily get a used/new civic, buy coilovers and turbo it, and have a better handling/faster car than this mugen edition.

If it does sell, the original owner just made himself 30-40K. Makes you wonder how much it'll be worth in 10 years.

its the type of civic that it is. its not just an average civic. you want a plain civic, just go the vehicle for sale section and you can find one all day long.

the mugen rr, not something you would see everyday. for those who are truely passionate about a honda, i could see them buying it. me, if i had cash to spend on whatever, i could see myself buying it, but i won't go out of my way, or try to get the money for this particular car.
