Sooooo until there is a valid point here.....

Lets not sit here and discuss how much faster a vette is from a miata, it obviously is, but it's also a lot more expensive...I don't think you ppl understand that yet....

    I would take a porshe gt2/gt3 over a gt-r who wouldn't, it costs a lot more.......
I don't remember any Mazda ads saying that the Miata was a Vette killer

I also don't remember Mazda posting track lap times for the Miata that nobody else could come close to reproducing.

miata isnt a vette killer..it wasnt made to be one.. it was made to be a lite weight underpowered fun roadster.. But it CAN BE MADE to be a vette killer.

Exactly, but Nissans claims were total BS, this is for the Nurburgring claims, not just the GTR vs Porsche.

There are tons of cars you can build for that much money and be legal and walk a new GTR.......

were not building cars, we are buying them this is a stock v stock comparison. i could build my moms pt cruiser to beat a gtr with the price difference. that dont mean anything..

nissan really didnt talk shit.. they promoted the car like any other company does. And they put it up against its competition. like any other car company does.

Im pretty sure if nissan felt the GTR would perform better with a normal gearbox it would have put one in it. i dont know why you all think the GTR isnt any different from the previous.. the previous gtr had plenty of gizmos and gadgets for its time. Just like any other japanese car, they are full of gadgets, and sophisticated driving aids. It wouldnt be a japanese car without it.

jay leno is a car guy he will love whatever he drives.. he drove the GTR lvoed it, he drove the gt2 loved it....he drove his shogun he said it was his favorite car.. does it mean its better than the gt2?

fact remains.. gtr for the price its a amazing car. You all say its just a Nissan soo much.. but this Nissan is getting all this attention from ferrari/porsche/lambo drivers.
