The hose that gets disconnected by people is used to vent. But it can cause problems when the Pvc setup gets clogged. So u can use a inline breather filter to filter the fumes or a glass inline fuel filter like the second one.. i used to on my pro.. worked great! even with a new pcv it still let soem stuff get by that the glass filter would catch.
u can see it in between the IM and the valve cover..

nothing!

The hose people always disconnect(and put a breather filter on), is supposed to be a vent, for the valvecover, and circulate fumes from inside of the Valve cover, out thru the Pcv valve, and into the Intake manifold.

It used the vaccum from the IM/Intake hose.. to do this... So when people just disconnect the hose, and throw a breather filter on it... the fumes cant be circulated and filtered.. properly..

Look at the hose, connected to the intake hose.. thats where people always put a breather filter on..... instead of using a correct Intake setup that lets the vaccum work like its supposed to!
