Let's not twist my words around. I never said that they all break or cause damage, I said that if it's not properly engineered, it will destroy synchro's in the transmission. I designed and built my own STS and I haven't ruined a synchro from it since. I've stripped 3rd gear, but that was my doing. And on mazda's, that's usually the first gear to go.

Glides, congratulations. I would expect you to buy something not needed and overly excessive. That's all I'm gonna say on that note.

    K series 626. That's right. It's got a K in it.

I have HID's in my halogen headlights...I think they look great and I can see 10x better...so it works in favor of my safety...I might blind everyone, but life isn't fair is it???

The part that makes you looks dumb is that from the factory they make a HID specific lens with separate high and low beam, which would benefit you even more. Congratulate yourself as well.

Yeah seriously, all you guys with non-DOT approved HIDs, I hope your bulbs are burn out. The 7 is so low that regular lights already look like brights, brights are hell, and non-DOT HIDs, are just utter blindness. Even if I try to stare in the lower right corner of my windshield, it's hard to see. I don't know if you guys have considered this, but your little "safety" mod make me almost hit you, which isn't very safe. It'd be YOUR fault in court when I pointed out your faulty home assembled non-DOT lights caused the crash.

^^ Yeah, I drew a frame of a man running on each fan blade. That is him running at idle

I agree with all of them except the BOV, because that was my favorite part about my Eclipse lol

Hahaha, reminded me of a funny story... I was riding with my gf one time and she kept hearing the BOV and asked me "How come you make that noise when you shift?" lmao she thought I was making the sound with my mouth every time I shifted

what makes you look dumb is that nissan did not introduce HID's on maxima's until 2002, and thus in the case of my car, a 2000, they did not come with such a lens from factory. And while I could buy these headlight from nissan for about $800 to be dot-approved, I am not ballin. $140 sounds a lot better than $800. I think most ppl on here would agree they'd rather spend 140 on virtually the same effect rather than 800. FYI, I just aimed my headlights up even more to piss ppl off because of your rambling...

The hose that gets disconnected by people is used to vent. But it can cause problems when the Pvc setup gets clogged. So u can use a inline breather filter to filter the fumes or a glass inline fuel filter like the second one.. i used to on my pro.. worked great! even with a new pcv it still let soem stuff get by that the glass filter would catch.
u can see it in between the IM and the valve cover..

    nothing!

The hose people always disconnect(and put a breather filter on), is supposed to be a vent, for the valvecover, and circulate fumes from inside of the Valve cover, out thru the Pcv valve, and into the Intake manifold.

It used the vaccum from the IM/Intake hose.. to do this... So when people just disconnect the hose, and throw a breather filter on it... the fumes cant be circulated and filtered.. properly..

Look at the hose, connected to the intake hose.. thats where people always put a breather filter on..... instead of using a correct Intake setup that lets the vaccum work like its supposed to!

Ever hear of junkyards? They wanted $400 at the dealership for a foglight that broke on my mom's 02 maxima. Got an oem one on ebay for less than 100 shipped. Don't be lazy to search for deals.

Noob I know more about my car than most people on this forum, even aftermarket oem style 2002-2003 headlights on ebay still go for $400 minimum. And as far as junkyards go, I've been to a few to look for the 02-03 headlights, but they never have 5th or 6th gens there, only 4th gens and older. I've also searched in classified sections on nissan/maxima forums, but these headlights are valuable, and are in high demand amongst 5th gen owners, which is also why people used to steal these headlights...

Anyway I am satisfied with ym setup as of now...

I know when they introduced them. I can understand if they weren't made for your car then I wouldn't have suggested it. If you go on Ebay right now they have a set going for a pretty decent price. My JDM lights are rare and expensive but I somehow found a set for $150 shipped. How so? I took the time to do some searching. I could've been a dumbass and just stuck some ol' HID's in the stock halogen housing but I decided to do the public a favor. Besides, they look really good on my car going the JDM route. I'm certain that if I can find a good deal on lights that are rare, you can find a good deal on lights that are common.

Actually, it does something when you leave it vented like that. It's called an unmetered vacuum leak. Alot of people vent it because they are ignorant to how a modern car works. Most of your cars with a MAF/MAP/VAF meters take into account the PCV system and adjust maps on the computer to compensate for things like blowby and etc. If for example you were to have a ripped throttle body boot, the ecu would see it as unmetered air getting passed the MAF/VAF meter and would throw a lean code. If you were to take your oil cap off while the engine was running, most cars with those systems would stall the car out or it will run rough. Leave it off long enough and that lean code would come up. So instead of leaving that PCV hose vented to keep oil from getting back in the throttle body, add an oil trap to it and make sure that you hook it back up. A properly working PCV system also slows oil leaks down by making sure there isn't any crank case pressure under loads (acceleration).

half a year ago i got pulled over by a cop for my ricer blue hids (10k) that was blinding everyone. He gave me a citation and told me that he will revoke it if i get DOT approved stuff or bring it back to stock. I got the 6k DOT approved hid and DOT approved projectors with it.(92 prelude) i noticed a lot of difference in them. when you point the light to the wall you can see that the light does not scatter. it made a straight line across the wall and it was really bright.

Hell, you can't even see down a dark road with 10K's. You come out better running the factory lights to get better results. Besides, Ebay is selling projector headlights right now for your car. I hope that you have Hi beams with your HID's.

lol @ me being ricer....don't hate cuz my car looks better than your, and I can see GREAT with my HID's. They don't put out as many lumens as compared with 6K, but they are FAR better than my stock halogens lights. how about you get off my nuts ***** And those projectors you're talkngi about aren't compatible with HID's, idiot

lol. i see ****ing amazing even with my pink ass 30k's

and hi beam HID's ... MOST sets i've seen just have the low beam HID bulb and then a normal (factory) bulb for the high beam.

i see better with my 30k lowbeam than with a factory high beam.

for each his own right? some people have money and can afford nice cars with hids, some people just buy them and put them in whatever they have becouse they want to look like you guys with the money. as far as the guy that said in court it would be your fault becouse your hids are not dot approved...... if you crossed the yellow lines its your fault! i cant believe people are bickering about hids, im gonna get some pink 30k hids and put them in my mack truck and hope i get behind any one who has and anyone that is going to keep talkin **** about hids. it a mod that they sell for almost or every bulb so f*ck it leave it alone.....haters.

I'm not hating on anyone's car at this point. At this point in time, Glide's grass green lawn mower with the hedge trimmer body kit looks better than mine so that's not saying alot.

Projectors are far better at controlling HID light scatter than regular halogen/composite headlights. You have to aim them lower than the halogens for the best results. Just for the record, I have 4300k's.

    K series 626. That's right. It's got a K in it.
