in almost every aspect the two cars are the same; all wheel drive turbo monsters. If you look at the highlights from road and track comparisions and top gear you will see that they all think they are brothers from another mother. BUT the evo has one huge thing going for it that the subie does not and that is a motor that has been in production for what almost 18-19 years so that should tell you which one will last longer. There was an issue of sport compact car thats cover story was 1000 horsepower evo and all 4 of the 5 cars that passed the test were street cars. The most powerful street subie can only pray for 700-800 wheel HP. so i say go with the EVO. But the subies boxer engine sounds cool as sh*t.
