It all comes down to the driver, like I said already twice.

And im far from a child.

no reason to shift past 6k in an STi, the vf39 runs out of breath and starts tapering boost

Of course not, never said you had to. Just saying you could. On a subaru on stock turbo; Wrx/STi both start tapering at around 5k. They both hit max boost around 4-5k. The 39 could be pushed til redline, I mean no need of course. But shifting around 7k isn't going to make that much of a diffrence than if you were to have shifted at 6k.

actually you would benefit by shifting by 6k since you wouldn't lose ground in the 1500 rpms that the vf turbo falls flat on its face. during that 1500 of rpms that boost is tapering...you are NOT accelerating and you are losing ground to another car that is

and if you correctly shifted before 6k it would put you right back in the sweet spot of the powerband so that you will still be accelarating with plenty of rpms to go.

i can rev my all the way to boost cut, but its not doing me any favors since i'm losing boost

so yes there is benefit on a stock turbo'd subaru in shifting before 6k
