My brakes are too big to even get near the ATE temps I've turned the rotors purple and gold before and still had zero fade, plus they were 100° coolor than a E36 M3's rotors with stock brakes running at the exact same time (even checked their temp before mine).

The Motul and Brembo fluid looks to be about the same specs but the Castrol has crazy high temps

Yeah I've yet to have fluid fade, I've gotten pad fade but only at Road Atlanta. Its amazing how hot the brakes get in 10a and they are still hot going into 1.

About 120+ is the fastest i've personally run through 9 so definitely never had an issue plus weigh quite a bit less too than the scooby. The Del Sols run the same brake setup I have with the ATE hitting 140 before stepping on it without issues too, but for the little Honda's the brakes are plenty big enough...just think I still wanted a 1" larger rotor but AP Racing doesn't make it

Used to run a 1.5" deep splitter on them with 1200lbs springs on the front and the car was sitting on the bump stops going through 9 bouncing off the rev limiter in 5th gear -- took 1" off the splitter and that fixed the handling. That's why I laugh at the street cars with 500lb springs and a 4" splitter sticking out the front, lol...gonna lift your rearend at like 60mph, that does wonders for handling

dang... i missed all the fun conversation...

I've never had the opportunity to run at Road Atlanta, something always seems to come up at the last minute with that track. At the event in august I was halfway there and got a call from work... time before that, my car decided to have major oil leak issues the night before the event (unknown to me until i walked outside to pack things up the next morning)

I had done research on HT between the different fluids people recommended and was deciding between the Castrol and Motul fluid, and wound up with the rbf600 simply because my instructor was running the same in his and sold me on it.

-Speedminded, would you recommend EBC reds for the track? If not, what is your recommendation? Currently I'm running HAWK HP+s with Brembo blanks (10.25") on my CRX Si.

Get the Castrol, you have to bleed it less and it works better its worth the extra money to me.

I run Carbotech Brake pads on the STI I run XP12s on Street Tires and XP16s on Hoosiers.

    Matt

Edit, those are fairly aggresive pads, if you are new I would go XP8s
