Ever tried to polish steel? It will rust in 8 hours with our humidity. For that shiny look aluminum is polished and steel is chromed. Chrome is cheaper, just like the stuff that's its covering because it takes alot less labor...it's a liquid and the metal is dipped in it then it hardens just like hard shell syrup on ice cream. Normally the metal is etched and coated with nickel before recieving the shiney final look. Chrome is just adding weight to something that is heavy to begin with while polishing doesn't add weight, it just makes it shiney and stuff.
you're my idol dood
so the BBS RS (an aluminum wheel im to assume) should be polished? does it make any sense to chrome aluminum wheel? has that been done?
