Exclamation My rear brakes LOCK UP....

and i really dont know why. I'm thinking they might need to be re-adjusted, but im not sure... Why do they lock up?? how can i get them repaired or adjusted? How much should it cost???

They only lock up if you step on the brakes too hard, or too abruptly. If you're careful, and light with your toe on them, they work just fine though.

i used to have an old truck and had the same problem. for me the master cylinder was going bad and i had a bunch of shit in the brake lines. try bleeding the brakes before you buy anything new, if need be bleed the brakes out completely put all new brake fluid in, see how that works. if it doesn't help replace the master cylinder. or better yet take it to a brake specialist and get them to see whats wrong, maybe 15-30 bucks. and fix it yourself. good luck

if its disks, maybe sticking calipers but doubtful both at the same time, unless the pads and rotors have so much wear the pistons have extended too far
You only live once, maybe twice if you use the e-brake!

sounds like they're working fine if your car is non ABS, although the rears shouldn't lock up first.
Please tell me if you think my car looks good. But don't tell me if you think it's ugly - only on IA
