I'd find an old Chevy Chevette, Stiffen the chassis and drop in a Volvo 16V 2.3L with a BMW 5 series Getrag transmission, and then turbo the hell out of it. I'll reinvest the rest of the money

    K series 626. That's right. It's got a K in it.

$35K??? thats tough. Theres the evo and STI if you want something new, or you could get something older, like a TT supra, late 80's Porsche 930 turbo, C5 Z06, E39 M5, E46 M3, early to mid 90's NSX (or if you are lucky, a 97 or newer with the 3.2L).... It really depends on if you want something new (that will lose value the second you drive it off the lot) with a warranty, or something used (that may be more likely to hold value in some cases) with no warranty.

at both time i had choices between a new or used vehicle..

i went ahead and bought a NSX

2 years later (recently) i had another choice of buying a new or used vehicle and i bought another NSX - now has TWO

alot of people out there would rather buy a new vehicle due to being the first owner, brand new vehicle, warranty, low interest payments, more safety features, etc.

I for the most part don't care much of the warranty and year of vehicle. It's who owned it before you that you should be concern about. i bought these two vehicles knowning the history behind it. i am the THIRD owner of these two NSX and both got about 70k miles on them. i got all of the history record from both car. as long as the maintenance is perform at the correct time (recommended maintenance or 5 years if not driven much) than the vehicle should be in pretty good condition. i know these type of vehicles are solely used for weekend drives only and been a garage queen more of it's life than being outside. when i bought both of these cars i had an acura dealership inpect it for me and perform a leak down and compression test on these two cars.

I bought these two cars because i know if someday i was to sell my car i'll get about the same back. these cars don't loose values much these days. i can resell my black one for the price i paid 2 years ago and still get all my money back if not maybe even a couple thousands more.

performance and handling is still equivalent to sports cars now-a-day. i agree there's not much power in these cars but they did came out in 1991 so 16 years later and most sports cars still have about 300 hp still. with a little money in upgrades and you'll sure push out the same power as most other cars.
