    Default my plan for teg

    i bought a 97 teg with LS MOTOR few days ago.. Of course, i gonna slam it.. after that, I plan to buy 98+ front and rear bumper, type r wing, and front lip but i need to have little performance in my teg first before i work on the body.. i will gonna buy a ton of performance stuff after i m done with exterior and interior.. so tell me what do u think..


    here it is:

    APEXI N1 FULL EXHAUST
    ITR HEADER
    AEM SHORT RAM INTAKE...

    need more performance?? such as cam gear, IM, or??

    Just keep it the way it is with the basic bolt-ons you have already, no amount of bolt-ons will make it worth the extra few WHP. BTW, cam gears by itself don't do anything except look cool.

    i think u should save your money on that aem short ram, i know the aem one costs a bit.. grab a cheap cai off ebay..

    He means that he wants to start with a basic bolt-on setup, do the exterior/interior, then bulk up the performance.

    Honestly, I'd plan out what you want to do with your engine before slapping legos together, unless you just want to go with a i/h/e package.

    im sorry bout my poor english because i do not speak/talk.. I'm Deaf. My first language is ASL (American Sign Language). My second language is English. i hope you do understand why i didnt do good at it.. I wanna to have type r motor or B20 VTEC because None of deaf guys buy jdm engine or build a motor in southeast.. I gonna be first person who gonna build a motor or buy jdm engine. I told anyone that Deaf guys included me can do it.. i gona prove them that we (deaf guys) can do it.. My goal is get their respectable and be cool wid us..

    that them who think i cant do it because im deaf.. that pissed me off.. im going to build a motor and gonna shut them down with my damn motor

    LS/VTEC conversion. Get a Gsr head, Skunk2 IM, a good set of pistons and rods, a good set of cams, chipped ecu and a good tune and you will have a type R killer.

    head: $400-500
    IM:$175-225
    PR3 pistons: $250
    Eagle rods: $300
    Skunk2 Pro1 cam: $650
    valve springs: $200-300
    Type R oil pump: $110
    LS/VTEC conversion: $120
    chipped ecu and tune: $400
    Machine shop + labor: $500-up
    dont waste your time making your car look like a type R unless it can perform like one.

    do what i did... get some good suspension, bolt ons, and really learn the drivability of your car. "tons of performance parts" are more than simple bolt ons like intake, heder, exhaust, etc... if you want more speed, you might want to swap a motor, build it, boost it and call it a day.
