What kind of software are you using to tune it?

Yea I gave them a call. Labor is a little high and the dyno time is twice what I was paying in Michigan.
Can't go wrong with Main Stream. They have built a 600whp S2000 from the ground up, tuned a 250shot nitrous/Supercharged S2000 and other Supercharged S2000s.
They can pull your S2000 apart and put it back together blind-folded.
Their turbo S2000 is featured on their website also.

Edit: Man, looking back at this post... I should be making commission for this! Just an FYI, I don't work there, but they built my 600HP Honda from start to finish. They know their stuff.
you paid $63/hr for dyno tuning in Michigan!!!!!!Originally Posted by ChefJ
That's the sweet deal there! or were you saying that they can tune the AEM in less than 2 hours? Either way if he can tune it in 1 hour, he's the man!
Good luck with whatever you choose![]()
I agree. There is no way he is going to tune the AEM in 2 hrs correctly unless he is a tuning god. There are a LOT of tables to go through. Maybe he just did the main fuel and ignition tables, and didn't touch all of the auxiliary tables?Originally Posted by tracy
Just dialing in engine start (hot & cold) can run you around for a while.
Give Mainstream, Topspeed or Balanced Performance a call. I know Mainstream rates are reasonable.

We can tune AEM, have done it on several S2000s. MainstreamPerformance.com
I can also say that Batlground is a good AEM tuning shop.
you will not be dissapointed with either of us

Mainstream Performance, you cant go wrong with them. You cant beat their prices and the really treat their customers extremely well.
I have the AEM in my Mustang. I know of 3 tuners in the Atlanta area that know what they are doing with the system. I'm sure there are others, but I do not have personal knowledge of them knowing the software intricacies.
1. Claudio Taveras (ClaudioRX7 on here/lives here now) - has been to the AEM class and EFI U classes also - http://www.tuningtechnology.com
2. Dan (Batlground) - I believe has been to the AEM software classes - http://www.batlground.com
3. Sharif (Forged Performance) - has hosted EFI U classes - http://www.forgedperformance.com
Also, Chris Macellaro is in Chattanooga, but comes to Atlanta to tune. He is a EFI U instructor who is AEM certified and is very familiar with the software. http://www.macellarosperformancetuning.com/
I've never been over to Mainstream, so I have no idea about them, if they say they've tuned them also, that's another option also.
I was told that the AEM guys flown out from California to give Dan the classes. All because they wanted to be able to recommend him. This makes me believe that he is a good installer and tuner. But their rates are a little high. I will be making some phone calls tomorrow to various shops that you guys have given me contact names to. I also need a place that installs diffs. I just purchased a 4.77 final drive and need an install shop for that aswell. Thanks againOriginally Posted by David88vert
Main Stream tore apart an S2000 diff and installed a 240 diff. I'm sure they can also help you out with that.
Come to think of it... Mike has an AEM EMS for the S2000 that's brand new in the box sitting in their lobby.
lol nissan is better i knew it lolOriginally Posted by iloveboost
but yeah give MSPI a call talk to mike they know there stuff and they are the only shop in ga i would let lay a hand on my car
That is true AEM came out and gave Dan the class, I don't think there was much they could teach him other than some shortcuts.Originally Posted by ChefJ
Remember you get what you pay for especially when it comes to tuning, I've had cars tuned by several people, Dan is without question the man when it comes to AEM, just don't expect it to only take two hours, quality takes time.

We are primarily a honda/acura shop, and our S2000 beat Full-Races s2000, we made 600whp on PUMP gas an we built the car from the ground up with OUR turbo manifold, OUR top mount custom Vmount intercooler, twin wastegates, built motor, etc.
We also installed a Nissan J30 LSD as the stock differential could not support the power we were making. we have lots of experience with s2000s. We tuned Southern Customs widebody s2000 that was comptech supercharged with a 250shot direct port nitrous with AEM.
We tuned Seymour222s AEM comptech supercharged S2000.
we are more than capable.
Batlground has tuned numerous AEM setups, even though we are "rival shops" i have no problem reccomending them as well. Dan is very knowledgeable and can def handle the task.
TopSpeed Tuned Champ Coupes setup which is a turbo S2000 with AEM.
Balanced Performance has a tuner named ED that can tune AEM as well.
best thing i can say is call around, feel everyone out, and make a decision based on who YOU think can do the work to your car most effectively. When it comes to something as vital as tuning a turbo setup, especially on a high compression motor, price shouldnt be the only thing your looking at.
good luck, if you call us tomorrow my name is mike

You are comparing Georgia rates to Michigan. They are cheap compared to California rates, as long as we are doing that lolOriginally Posted by ChefJ
Batlground or Main Stream are the only two you should be considering IMO.

Everyone has this preconcived idea that each car is so unique that you have to have a special tuner, honestly thats a big fucking load of shit.

Best thing for you to do is go with who you feel the most comfortable. And check them all out.
