man this shit is dead... funny how everyone talks shit on here all the time and when an event comes up everyone gets quiet before they get called out and actually half to putt up or shut up... bunch of pansies !!! Thats import guys for ya...

not really everyone who is active in the kills forum will be there and they posted in here. H22 Jones, Midnight Auto, im sure 1civic will be there, you, spoolin, only people i think who havent responded been Matt and Moseley. Ill be out of town/on vacation, chunky will be out of town in chicago, cant speak for the rest.
Its also out of state in Montgomery, not exactly close to home.
Actually all the arguments havent been over who is faster or not, its been over power numbers and standards of proof.
I also dont think anyone has "talked shit" besides bobby. Talking shit implies that one was making stuff up for the purpose of getting under anothers skin. I didnt make anything up, neither did anyone else, well maybe bobby :P
who are YOU racing? are you the one that said he made like 700whp or some crap? you running against spoolin?

yes ill be running against spoolin and jjmotors and a few other fast cars... im just looking to get a full pass and ill be happy as for every other event i have broke shit... showdown 09 clutch, showdown 10 spring broke oil pump, showdown fall 10 timing belt, showdown 11 spring sunk 2 sleeves on dyno morning of. So i really hope to make some full passes as i got help from some ppl now and basically bought everything i could find to help except for front struts and apparently msd sci is starting to fail bc its breaking up kinda bad on the dyno... other than that there is absolutely no reason for me not to make it happen this time ..."knock on wood"
went to twin disc, 5.9 axles and hubs, saenz custom gearset and fd, and fresh motor
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
well if i would just turn it down it would prob be ok but then it wouldnt be fast lol... i had alot of trouble getting it to shift and bought alot of stuff to make it shift then tore the teeth off 2nd and 3rd so while i did some researching the guy that was sponsored by saenz gears got a new sponsor by ppg so he passed his gearset down to me. i got the company standing behind them for anytime i break anything, three sets of sliders and syncros, a set of prototype carbon syncros there starting to make, custom ratio straight cutt gears, custom fd, and extra 2nd 3rd and 4th all for $1700 so im too happy as this was holding me back so much and its awesome to have saenz gear located in florida so parts and help are only a phone call away...

chip has been winning every NA event for years and is gonna continue with A B SERIES
I do rb20 and rb25 wiring into s13 and s14's 300.00 shipped 24hr turn around turn ket start guaranteed! PM me for more details!
gotta give him props cause he is doing his thing , his car runns good and consistent....... its time for people in ATL to start competing for the crown and stop spectating. its better for the sport
i like chips car it runs good and if all i cared about was winning events im sure i could compete with him witht he motor thats in the si . My problem is i may race three or four events a year if that so no need to have a strait race car to each there own his shit runs good glad he has such a fan club backing him up lol.

I just don't get why there's all this emphasis on a B series beating a K in competition. It's common sense.
Which engine has been around longer?
Which engine has been in motorsports longer?
Which engine has had engineers improving it's capabilities longer?
Which engine is easier for the tuner to develop with i.e lacked DBW, encryption etc?
Come on now..
everybody should know by now that it is much easier to make power with a k series than a b series (all motor). the reason that there is a competiotion between the two in ATL is because people here are use to B series and have been experimenting with it for a while now... In NY one can get k series parts WAY easier than u can out here(no disresoect to atl), and as vteckidd pointed out , it is still a costly swap by itself, much less to start building it..... all im saying is most off the k series swaps out here are stock, and a built b series will run with a k series..... stock k series with intake and exhaust reving to 8300 makes 200-220hp easy. i cant say the same for a stock b-series, unless its a type R. ( note i said with intake and exhaust only). when people start building their k series the way myself, morris, matt, moseley, greg, etc, they will see the difference in the power that they make and will understand better. im a b series fan too, but k series makes easy power hands down
k > b b-series is yesterday's technology
to answer your question from a NON FANBOY point of view..........
Actually the FASTEST cars meaning the fastest NA and Turbo competition TRACK CARS are both K Series (last i checked). But those guys are backed by sponsors and others with money, back up motors, etc. Example Skunk2 ran 9.6 5-6 years ago setting the world record when K Series were relatively new. K series broke the elusive 350whp barrier NA and now the 400whp Barrier NA. So they are better in every shape and form.
However, they are incredibly expensive to put into the older chassis. I dont care what anyone tells you, i worked at 3 shops and my job was to figure out what it costs to do swaps and work. You have guys that do their own work, or find deals on used stuff here and there but the AVERAGE person will pay $3000-4000 more for the K Series with almost negligent hp differences.
a BONE STOCK K20A2 MIGHT make 200whp(some make more, some make less but average is about 200whp). Thats stock motor, swap header, stock ecu, etc. My stock ITR motor made 200whp. difference is mine needed $300 mounts to install in my CRX. K20 needs mounts , clutch lines, fuel lines, ps delete, shifter box cut out, blah blah blah blah.
So, for the AVERAGE person modding their car, its extremely expensive to do a K Series especially when you factor in labor costs. So it deters people from doing it.
Likewise the story with the cars here in Atlanta is there is only recently a bunch of Ks running around. The Ks are stock motors with bolt ons, vs "fully built" (even though i hate that term) B Series. So you have relatively stock motors in the K Series versus the highly modifed B Series.
If you take mod for mod the K will almost always win provided everything else is equal.

oh please. B series is yesterdays tech, but its still the motor of choice when hp/$ is concerned and still is the ones winning the SE events . So its not really K>B.
Street racing wise the B series are falling off because its much harder to make 220-230whp out of those motors than bolting in a mildly modded K20 that will make those numbers.

wow did we just say the same thing? write it down, i believe we just agreed.
first for everything
to put it even more simply, there are at least 3 cars NEAR the 300whp barrier with the K series here in Atlanta (matt , gregg , and midnight). No one is even close to that with a B Series. And the Ks making those numbers are not super high modded, they are PROBABLY (cause i do not know the modifications at all im just speculating) off the shelf rods, pistons, cams, header etc. IE they arent crazy race motors.
Any B Series making over 240-250 is pretty highly modified. im pretty sure nationally, NO ONE is making over 280whp with a B Series on a dynojet

Um u might want to google search fastest na and turbo honda... I dont even belive a b series in the top ten... Im not a b or k hatter but this is a nobrainer k will always make more power simply bc its bigger. B series is cheaper older and easier to find parts for thats why u see so many down here in the south "we a bunch of broke asses" high hp k series is baller status and once they have been around for a while you will see every one go to k. Hell I would go k myself if I didnt have sooo much h shit
Hell has froze over lmao.
basically yaw are having the same conversatation i had about h and b swaps ten years ago. Why spend 3,000 more for a b swap to go a second slower , because it bolts right up and wires right up no modifications. people are scared to drill four holes for a shifter box and extend a few wires they want plug and play . i was running the same times with a stock h series that the b series was on 8 pounds of boost ten years ago for a quarter of the money . I didnt mind doing the extra work on the install .

Yeah I think now with the development of the h2b and h22, the best Hp/$ is h.
B is simple, h isn't that much more complicated plus the h22 motors are way down in price

Ive bought ten good running h motors for less then 500 dollars . There out there all day long and the f20 is a nice bang for the buck also.
