I used to have a Mr Freeze kit - didnt like it. Thinking about the AEM kit now, or maybe just put on a A2W.

A2w is a pain in the ass... Unless your doing drag only and even then its a pain in the ass because depending on the holding tank size ice only last maybe 2 passes before u need to drain and add more ice and actually hurts u if u dd it unless u dont have anykind of cooler at all

Won't address my off-boost cooling issue.

I do have a IC ring for my nitrous kit, but probably won't use it on this car.

Actually, A2W is better than A2A for a DD. There were a lot of tests on it. Here is one that is specific to foxbodys. http://www.mustang50magazine.com/tec...res/index.html

I would definitely ice it at the track and take advantage of it though.

You do know that e85 takes a large delivery fuel system, right?

E85 i was never impressed with. It takes a much larger amount of fuel, it corrodes, i always thought A2W was much better and simpler. But ive never run either so........

a2a you just putt on and go l2a you got so much more to deal with not to mention the never ending supply of ice u need to make it work right... I just take small styro cups freeze the water amd when it comes time to putt it in I just tear the cupp off and it drops right in and stays frozen longer. Trick too it is get the watter really cold and.keep it there... "ice and salt"

For boosted applications, e85 is a great fuel. It allows you to keep adding boost but gives a safety net.

Exactly why id love to switch, but for me to actually take advantage of its potential id have to get a DART block

No need for e85, until you get into race gas territory. Pump gas does fine on the stock blocks.

because of its "cooling" properties ?

What are teh advantages of E85 over C16? E85 takes much more fuel does it not to make the same hp?

It suppresses detonation, so you can run more agressive timing with it than you can with pump gas. An extra 2+ degrees can help a lot with power, depending on the car. Or you can crank up the boost farther, without knock.
The downside is that E85 requires about 30% more fuel delivery than pump, but since it is generally cheaper, it is much cheaper than C16.
In some cases, cars on e85 are making more power than they did on C16, but in an all motor car, I'd probably still to pump on the street, and race gas on the track. Seems to me that there are more success stories with boosted cars, and less with all motor.
The cooling effect, as a lot of people put it, is that it burns cooler, and the larger amount of fuel required by e85 also works to cool the pistons.
Average price for e85 right now is $3.31. Add in the 30% more fuel needed, and the cost increases to $4.30 to be comparable. Race gas is more than $4.30.

Ahh ok thanks for explaining. I think for most people the benefit isn't worth it. And I mean most meaning 90% of the turbo or NA guys out there. (Honda wise)

400-500 Hp turbo cars and 200-240 NA Cars prob don't see the benefit simply because c16 requires no other precautions or additives. You simply load another map and dump the fuel in.

I could see guys like Spoolin going e85 because they are much more prone to detonation and it can be much deadlier at 800whp than 400-500.

NA cars are making 240-290 on 93 octane

I bet the mug higher Hp cars like boosted v8s see a much better reason to switch.

    Agree?

i ran e85 and loved it. this was at ~500hp, so it was on the lower end of your scale, but it made the power way easier to obtain, ESPECIALLY considering the ambient temps of GA in the summer.

I've got one right around the corner from me, but not making enough power or boost to benefit from it. Plus, I would need to upgrade my fuel system to be able to use it.

Get a 55 gal drum of e85, and a hand pump. Much cheaper option.
