E85 i was never impressed with. It takes a much larger amount of fuel, it corrodes, i always thought A2W was much better and simpler. But ive never run either so........

For boosted applications, e85 is a great fuel. It allows you to keep adding boost but gives a safety net.

Exactly why id love to switch, but for me to actually take advantage of its potential id have to get a DART block

No need for e85, until you get into race gas territory. Pump gas does fine on the stock blocks.

because of its "cooling" properties ?

What are teh advantages of E85 over C16? E85 takes much more fuel does it not to make the same hp?

It suppresses detonation, so you can run more agressive timing with it than you can with pump gas. An extra 2+ degrees can help a lot with power, depending on the car. Or you can crank up the boost farther, without knock.
The downside is that E85 requires about 30% more fuel delivery than pump, but since it is generally cheaper, it is much cheaper than C16.
In some cases, cars on e85 are making more power than they did on C16, but in an all motor car, I'd probably still to pump on the street, and race gas on the track. Seems to me that there are more success stories with boosted cars, and less with all motor.
The cooling effect, as a lot of people put it, is that it burns cooler, and the larger amount of fuel required by e85 also works to cool the pistons.
Average price for e85 right now is $3.31. Add in the 30% more fuel needed, and the cost increases to $4.30 to be comparable. Race gas is more than $4.30.
