Met up with Patrick on Friday afternoon to do some pulls against his vette.

Its a bolt on vette meaning stock motor, automatic. No cams etc.

We didnt run for money, just a friendly few pulls.

1st run was 60-???



2nd Run was 40-???



3rd run LOW SLOW roll me in front




The first run was the best, we are about in the meat of each others powerband , id like to go from a little higher RPM but im satisfied with that.

Second run was me at 40 and he was just way too low in his gearing to even put up a fight. I put 2-3 cars off the jump and basically lifted halfway through 3rd. It wasnt an even match for him.

The last run, we tried to do a dig on the on ramp but someone was coming up so we had to get going i basically got in front of him and at about the 8 second mark, i punch it and he punches it shortly after.

Overall assessment is what i thought, we are about even till higher MPH anything past 90-100mph i dont have the topend HP to keep up and he walks away.

A stock GSR makes 155-160whp. A hytech header adds 10whp, your other mods prob netter your 5-10whp (tb, etc).

So you were prob around the 180whp range. Weight, i weigh at least 200 lbs more than you (my CRX does).

Like I said, the slowest C5 trapped 109+mph and ran a mid 13 second quarter mile....that's bone stock. A stock C5 is only DR's away from running a 12.

On top of that, this is a slightly modified Corvette, which means A) You'd have to run a high 12 at best to beat this car at the track and B) You'd have to trap over 110mph to pull this car on the highway.

So no, this video isn't going to stop people from thinking your car goes 14.1@98mph. I don't care how many people watched you sandbag your car, you still downplay the shit out of it because you're a fucking ricer.

first: its not exactly the best sound quality....... and the vid is taken from the vette, so... you're hearing BOTH cars, BOTH shifting at different times and wind noise. How exactly can you pick out the engine noise from the Honda?

second: i know the engine. it does not cut in and out. Trust me, I personally know this. It's MY old engine, it's run at RA, CMP, VIR, Roebling and Rockingham with no issues what-so-ever.
