    Yeah. It's mine. I had inline fix it. I'm gonna sell it. It won't hold my tq. So I'm just figuring out what kind of tranny to go with. Everything is gonna be a pain

    It may be a pain but if you can get an auto in there it will be SOOOO much faster IMHO. What trannies are you looking at?

    Currently, I have a dog box in it. I know an auto would be awesome. But finding a converter and bellhousing and input shaft would be difficult.

    What do's the input shaft have to do with it? The converter go's over the input shaft. Here is a idea for you. I would go with a Powerglide Tranny, all you have to do is get a converter for the powerglide, but when you order the converter, tell them you need to it to fit a flexplate for your particular motor. You may have to send the flexplate in to them. Then you call JW Ultrabell for a bellhousing and tell them what motor it is for and I am sure they can make a bellhousing up for you.Then your next step is have a crossmember made and a driveshaft made, and you should have no problems running your #'s! The only reason I suggest a Powerglide Tranny is they are small in size, and do not take alot of power to run them.If they make all the parts for a Supra to fit a TH400, then I am sure you can get your's done as well.

    i have thought of all that already. im talking of the shaft that goes into the motor. i have to get one small enough to go in there. then i would have to get a custom flywheel, a converter to stall at like 55000 rpms, and be really small. new driveshaft......i think the car would run in the 8s with a glide, but i just dont know if its worth it. if i can get some mid 9s with the dog box. imay just keep it. its just in there to try it out. once it goes to the track i will make my decision.

    ps, not to mention te cost to have all that shit made. i really dont wanna dump another 10k into a tranny

    There is NO shaft that go's into the back of the motor with a automatic. There is a small hub that is on the converter that go's through the FLEXPLATE,into the back of the crank, not Flywheel. Flywheel is for a stick shift, Flexplate for a automatic. You can have a auto for your car for probably less than $3500.00. A converter with that stall is no problem either.

    clark and i do it all the time with our supras but mine is a 2800 stall for street driving, clark's is 5-5500k and we can both rev out to 10.5k easy. and clark makes nearly 1200whp w/o nos and he's got a big shot of nos he can hit at will

    but we both use th400 for 3 gears instead of a powerglide with only 2 gears. dont forget most classes if you're gonna race prohibit any type of 2 gear trannies

    The car is FINISHED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!! am waiting for a friend of mine to come over so we can get her fired up with a base tune. After that, I will load her up on a trailer and off the exhaust shop. Then off to the A/C shop for some new A/C lines and condensor!
