I would go with a Powerglide Tranny, all you have to do is get a converter for the powerglide, but when you order the converter, tell them you need to it to fit a flexplate for your particular motor. You may have to send the flexplate in to them. Then you call JW Ultrabell for a bellhousing and tell them what motor it is for and I am sure they can make a bellhousing up for you.Then your next step is have a crossmember made and a driveshaft made, and you should have no problems running your #'s! The only reason I suggest a Powerglide Tranny is they are small in size, and do not take alot of power to run them.If they make all the parts for a Supra to fit a TH400, then I am sure you can get your's done as well.
