Not sure on where to stay. As far as what to do... All they really have is the shops (after going in 5 of them you've seen all the merchandise thats in all 40 of them). So many of them have the same stuff. Oh yeah you can tube down the river (outside of shopping). Thats it really.

there are some great cabins like 2 miles from Helen and then if we stay in a hotel - we usually stay in like the Ramada or something -but I haven't been there in awhile. The cabins are nice as hell tho - and not too expensive
These are the cabins we usually stay in:

check out wildwood outfitters, they have luxury log cabins right on the river all equiped with hot tubs, and they also provide tubbing, kayaking and white water rafting. The people there are really nice too, been going there alot lately! due to myrecent kayaking addiction

also if you want to get in a little closer to town try blue creeek cabins, ive never stayed there, but i looked into it before and they seem pretty nice..
Also there are alot of private people that rent out their cabins, ive found nice cabins as low as $100 a night and thats with 3 bedrooms, a hot tub and a lake front lot.. just use google there are alot on there!!
hope that helps man

Atif,
They have some sweet cabins just about 3 miles from all of the shopping areas. Some of the cabins have jaccuzi spas/hot tubs, over looking the mouuntains. I can't remember the name but I will try to find out. Me and Kaz and a bunch of us had rented one a few times.
