Thanks a million for keeping the list up. Tonight we rolled out to SDR and I guess the rain chance scared a lot of people away. After fixing the rear brake dragging and doing a good alignment and going through the car I finally got past the 11.58 I have been stuck at. First pass, since there wasnt much wait in the staging lane, I didnt get the engine warmed up enough and it hit boost cut at launch. Managed a 13 @ 120(ran good after a couple hundred feet). I went back to the pits and checked the datalogs and cleaned the tune up a little, let it cool down a few minutes, then rolled back to the staging lane. We have a video on Evil Goats camera that we will get uploaded. Here are the results:

    R/T .010
    60' 1.747
    330 4.843
    660 7.289
    MPH 97.96
    1000 9.394
    1320 11.148
    MPH 127.90

I had my radio on and heard the announcement that this was the quickest pass of the evening, so I ended up with the trophy.

Third pass alternator failed and batt voltage was low. Went 12.0 due to boost controller not kicking in since the voltage was low. I was hoping it would be a good pass since it was breaking up on the 11.14 due to being a little rich in the 6000-7000 rpm range and I cleaned it up a little. Oh well, there is a next time I guess, haha! At least it didnt hurt the engine.

I am so happy to have sorted the car out and now I actually have a reason to put a cage in it over the winter.

Please update if you dont mind

Thanks for the updating! The frustrating part is that I was going 129 and running 11.5x-11.6x and could not get it to go any quicker et wise. I spent several hours just sorting the car out and it is amazing how much better it is doing. Last weekend at IFO I used my 12.4 tune and the car was running 11.7's no problem at a lower mph so I knew that when I started to turn up the boost again it should do better. Hopefully I can get out to the last Friday t&t in two weeks and try again.

Oh JJ I got those hesitation issues worked out. I got a new tune and man does the car pull good now. Not sure how much power it is putting down but it feels much better.

Awesome! I am glad you got it figured out. We are planning to go to SDR in 2 weeks since it will be the last Friday t&t for the year. Maybe a good night to come out especially since it will be getting cooler.

I thought the 30th was the last Friday night T&T. I'm doing a k-member and replacing a couple blown out bushings that weekend. No track for me. I'll be at Twiggs on Nov. 7th T&Ting and running in the Ultimate DOT race.

I might want to check that out. That K member is pretty heavy from the factory so that should help out with weight transfer.

The rear brakes were dragging, especially the left one. I didnt realise that it was as bad as it was. Machined the rotors as they were warped some and cleaned/lubed the caliper slide pins. I finally got a good alignment with a modern machine, which may have contributed to the broken axle at Commerce last week end. The car is leaving a lot better, as the 60' went down a tenth and the 330 is about 4 tenths better too. The rest of the track time went down as well. I got the tune up better since I put the new compressor wheel and housing on also. Here is a link to the video:

This is a slip from Import Face-Off and it is my best ET this year. My numbers are in the Goodyear lane. I don't hit the drag strips that much anymore (only went three times this year before attending Import Showdown and Import Face-Off) but I'm happy with my results. My car is still running the same setup from 2005 but has 157,000+ miles on it now.

My run is at 8:02 in the video.

Oh and btw, my car sits 100 lbs. heavier now than back then. I am enjoying the car now instead of racing it so the car was laid with sound deadening sheets and noise barrier mats to quiet down the interior and accentuate the new audio setup. I still have a bit more of the noise barrier mats to lay in the car. They (SSA LLP) weigh around 11 lbs. a sheet.

I went to Summit last night and picked up a pair myself. Tried 10 different mechanics and shops today, and not even one of them wanted to work. I think that they are all waiting for government handouts. All of the shops had excuses as to why they didn't want to work today.

I got a guy out in Loganville who is putting in my k-member. PM me if you want his information, he is fair, reasonable, certified and owns/built an 03 Cobra.

I can get them put on, if I drive out to Coupe's. I just figured a simple task like putting on struts could be done locally quickly. No one wanted to take my money though. I'll probably just take the car down to GTE tomorrow though. After that, I have to drop it back off at the body shop to repaint. I never get to run the car anymore.
