    Keep in mind that classes started at 8pm, it takes 15-20 minutes to walk from one side of campus to the other. The call came into 911 at 7:15am. It takes time... THOUSANDS of kids travel to campus for class (about 11,000 they said). The rest live on/around campus. How do you lock down ALL buildings on campus? Getting word out, alone, just to do that, would take TIME and resources that they didn't have.
