I think he is a GREAT player in the NBA, i stated i would him if i was offered a chance to pick a PG to start a team with. BUT.................
I think if you look at the PG in the league right now, he clearly has company. Hes not like Lebron where he is far and away the best PF in the league , or like Durant the best 2/4 in the game.
I dont know how you cannot include the leagues previous MVP in Derrick Rose. D Rose is taller, averages more points (in a shorter career though) , i think Paul averages more Assists, but i dont know if Paul has been on BETTER teams. I dont think Derrick Rose has had a team like Paul has on the clippers this year. Rose has never really had another all star of Griffins caliber (Even though i think Deng and Griffin are NOT all stars)
People will never put him in the same league as CP3 because CP3 sells Jerseys and shoes, Parker doesnt.
Chris Paul had ZERO right to be voted anything MVP this year, Kevin Love was far superior to his team, but Kevin Love is a scruffy white dude who plays for minnesota, he will never get any votes lol
My point is, there is a level of hype that goes to players that influences there votes and stuff. Deron Williams gets it, Melo gets it even though hes really accomplished nothing in his NBA career except destroy teams hes on LOL, John Wall had it his first year, etc
