Two probably a good 48% of the people that drag race didn't have the money right away to say, "Hey lets go throw our thousands of dollars in and build this amazing race car." No, they had to work their ass off and build what they could and what they wanted. Two, That thing isn't even street legal (for those who like to have street legal drag cars.)

Their are many FWD cars out there that are monsters on the dragway, and for you to say screw them is out of this world. Why stick with one way of doing things? Is all wheel drive cars half wrong for drag racing?

Even DOMESTIC RWD producing companys have FWD drag cars. Like Pontiac and Chevy. Are wrong too? Come on man. I can understand bashing Civic, but all FWD cars.
I am not questioning the intent of people that build drag cars from home. As for the Atom, it is very much street legal. Also, for the money that is spent on a FACTORY BACKED (Very important detail) FWD Drag cars such as the Pontiac and Chevy, you could buy a fleet of Atoms. All wheel drive cars would be good for drag racing, but weight has always been a problem for AWD Cars. Just because Domestic companies are making FWD drag cars does not mean they are good for drag racing. They exist purely because there is a class for them to be in. If there was a Rear engine, Front wheel drive class, I am postive GM would have a Car ready to go.
