the iat does respond fairly quickly. at idle when tuning typically your iat will be higher than when your actually moving more air through the intake at partial throttle and during the pull will usually go down from there too. if you don't have an fmic or your turbo is spinning it's little heart out more than it should is the only reason i would see iats that high.

your turbo should be good for that psi. i run a 13t (tiny a$$ turbo) a step up from a t25 and have pushed 12+ psi w/o getting iat in the 130's and i have a seriously ghetto setup.

you could try moving the iat to the intake tube, but i don't think you'll see much of a difference.

i would've thought that moving the intake to a colder air location would make a difference, but there have been tests that have shown the difference wouldn't be 30* worth of iat. i don't see it hurting anything moving it, but i don't think it's going to drop you 30.
