RICE, is this considered?
Seeing as the scene is evolving. I came across this and I just wonder... is it actually consistant with the term rice? I mean is doesnt have a random spoiler or a weak paint job and the interior looks nice. I'd almost buy it if I could keep it up.
So the question is, what does the all important world of IA give this piece of Acura power? I see the dealer thinks this thing has 400hp but doesnt display whats under that crazy fast sheet metal.

I believe this is a good paint job (refering to the fact that is it isnt just some spray paint, looks like the owner actually spent some $$ on it to have the paint look nice) the painter did a good job is all.

That paint job is a point of individual expression which no one seems to have anymore. Individualism is just that, not everyone will like it, if they did everyone would have the same one. People that say things like that is so 1999 and shit like that are trend followers. Cars are timeless pieces that can be personalized. Any customization of a car can be expressed as rice as soon as the trend changes. The problem is in the import world. It is based mostly of youngsters who follow car trends just like the clothes they wear. The people who throw the term rice around are super hypocritical. Take the JDM trend. Putting front lips and cheap springs and Japanese parts on a LHD USDM car is just as much "rice" as body kits and wings. If it isn't the trend, it is labeled as rice. To me a car that has a nice paintjob regardless of the style is not rice, if the body kit fits right and is painted to match and is not gaudy it is not rice, etc. To me it is the quality of the build.
The paint job isn't expression, it's look at me I'm an attention whore street racer. He saw the graphics in the Fast and the Furious and just HAD to have something as nasty.

Sure it is. I'm quite sure whoever had them done liked them. If not they wouldn't have done them. Pretty simple actually.
I'm pretty sure some of the ricers with the horrid wings and paint jobs don't actually think it looks good, they just want to fit in, people can't really have that bad of taste.

Most of the ones who just wanted to fit in couldn't afford it. Hence the ill fitted unpainted body kits, gaudy cheap wings and fart can tips.

I like it overall...that paintjob is just too loud though. That sort of thing was very popular a while ago...more so among minitrucks from what I've seen though.
