i would say it proves GT Mustangs in N/A form are pretty slo... they have similar weight and Mustang makes more power... and you still got that protege i'll take you up on that.

my protege is gone, i gladly would have run it. ill have another one in the very near future, and we can run 1.8t vs 1.8t. wish i would have got chance to run the pro with the 2.5 in it could have had soem fun.. oh well. I beat a stock gti in my na 1.8 with I/H/E thats a acomplismmment for me. Just like beating a stock Mustang GT is a accomplishment for the jetta.. see it works from both sides.

i meant early how we all know the abilities of a chipped 1.8T so i dont see why its a suprise.

umm a stock 1.8t is slo and depending on year it could of been aww which is 150hp/160lbs... your light weight protege should beat it... your car probably weighed -1000lbs

my protege weighed 2200lbs and i ran a 16.5 when it was stock... i dont htink a I/H/E did that much to it. But anyway it was a great win for me, and i beat him on 2 different times, but the 3rd time we met he got some mods and i couldnt keep up. , than i got raped by a vr6.. which than prompted the v6 swap...lol

well all of the 1.8t line besides the bettle weigh 3000+lbs so they are pretty heavy... alot is all of the sound deadon they put in the cars. they are mid 15 sec cars stock... in stock form vr6 wins, but w/ minor bolt on's to free the turbo any 1.8t will rape a vr6. there isn't any contest w/ those models boost > n/a... also you could easily beat a stock aww 1.8t w/ the -1000lbs and a bad driver in the VW. how much power did your protege make?

haha ya...in my 03 Pro ES-T i walked a GTi (catless 3" exhaust/ intake) WAY worse than that mustang got beat...im sure the chip makes it more potent but the video doesnt say much. stock GT mustangs are dog slow and heavy
