my protege weighed 2200lbs and i ran a 16.5 when it was stock... i dont htink a I/H/E did that much to it. But anyway it was a great win for me, and i beat him on 2 different times, but the 3rd time we met he got some mods and i couldnt keep up., than i got raped by a vr6.. which than prompted the v6 swap...lol
well all of the 1.8t line besides the bettle weigh 3000+lbs so they are pretty heavy... alot is all of the sound deadon they put in the cars. they are mid 15 sec cars stock... in stock form vr6 wins, but w/ minor bolt on's to free the turbo any 1.8t will rape a vr6. there isn't any contest w/ those models boost > n/a... also you could easily beat a stock aww 1.8t w/ the -1000lbs and a bad driver in the VW. how much power did your protege make?my protege weighed 2200lbs and i ran a 16.5 when it was stock... i dont htink a I/H/E did that much to it.
