My Dad had a wooden paddle with holes drilled in it, so it whistled when he swung. And the holes also left nice welts.
I had the same paddle used on me in the 3rd grade by my principle just for bloodying a kids nose on the bus for not sharing his seat. Hell i think i may be the only kid it ever got used on.
Those are fucking terrible! I got beaten by one of those on two separate occasions. Once in first grade and another time in ninth. I had some mean ass teachers growing up.
