then he has to modulate throttle and fight for traction
he goes over the chicane at track out, that causes the car to oversteer....

In 7 the fastest you point the car straight the longer you will be WOT... Although I have to add that driving a E36 M3 with 250whp (a momentum car) is less challenging that driving a 500whp car like the GT-R or my M3. Lines will change base on brakes and tire managing, and others like drag & aero.

That's why I wonder why he took that line, maybe there is a rhythm and a reason for it.
Ok well I've driven there tons of times and work seven almost any event, most RACERS do hit the CURBS not "chicanes" on both the apex and DEFIANTLY on the exit. Yes even in cars faster than anyone posting in here. You want to take seven as fast as you possibly can, oversteer scrubs speed and so does understeer obviously so you have to find that perfect sweet spot. Using all of the track including the curbs also gives more room to build more speed. If you're entirely slow into seven but get on the throttle smoother at the exit and have the car straight why would you be faster than a driver who entered seven pretty quick, used all the track, kept a higher speed on the exit than you, and was on the throttle the same time?

Like I said I do KNOW what you're saying, he is turning in very early for 7 and is barely setting the car up BUT we're not driving it and we don't know how it reacts.

How many times have you driven the track out of curiosity?
