    the M3 should have one the 1/4 the driver short shifted first.

    but even if the M3 won by a car on half a car I would be very upset knowing what I spent on the M.

    Of course overall the M is a better car when you consider all factors but it's the "piece of mind" factor that will be lacking.

    Understandable. Personally I still don't understand why the went with the V8 platform over just tweaking the 335i and getting another 100whp out of that motor.
