I guess since these two guys below wore a badge, that they deserved their fate? I guess, my point is that the thread starter is an idiot. I do think that that the officer that opened fire should be in court, being held accountable for his actions. But his mistake doesn't mean that ever other officer is just like him.

When a fellow auxiliary cop underwent chemotherapy, Nicholas Pekearo shaved his head in a show of solidarity. The gesture, which supervisors say exemplified Pekearo's generosity, brightened the mood of the other officer and helped him deal with his fight against cancer.
Pekearo once again demonstrated his commitment to his fellow officers and the public they serve Wednesday when a madman opened fire in Greenwich Village.
Exhibiting unquestionable heroism, Pekearo's actions will forever cement him and Eugene Marshalik, the auxiliary cop who died alongside him, in the minds of their brethren and among the residents of the neighborhood where Pekearo was born.
"Although they both lost their lives, they helped us stop what could well have been far greater bloodshed," Mayor Bloomberg said at Pekearo's funeral yesterday. "Make no mistake about it. They saved lives."
