I can't wait until next month when I get to do this again. Got my board ready and a new bar of wax ready to rub on it. Later, QD.

Me, too. That's why I'm glad to have a house on the beach to go to every so often. I'll be heading there next month. I'll catch some swells for you. Later, QD.

Same here. Except I can boogie board. I use, now, a knee board. I call it my own short board, though. It's about 5 1/2' long. Later, QD.

I don't have a really nice boogie board. I have my one ancient longboard and a $30 boogie board from the local wal-mart. lol

I'm trying to get to a smaller board though and mine is like 8 years old, so I'm looking into something along the lines of this:

Hail yeah. Good looking board. I know Chris Davis did regular surfing. Don't remember if it was long or short, though. Later, QD.

Nice choice of board. It looks more like a Big Guy Tri than a fish though. Most fish are less than 6ft.

I ride an 8'4, however I didnt take it with me last week and I rented a 9'0 and loved it. Im looking at getting a 10'0 Al Merrick now

Thats a shark in the video...You can see its fins to its sides and its rear section moving some. I could understand it being another surfer, but you never see anyone on the other side or anything. If it was another surfer then the angle he was turned to wouldve put him right in the center of the camera.

I disagree. I'll freeze frame where you can see the surfer back-rolling his board away from the wave in order to "fall off" the other side of it.

Well our house on the beach at St. Simon's Island, but I go on South to Jacksonville for my May vacation. In July, I will be heading to Sebastian Inlet near Melbourne, Fl to do some major damage. Later, QD.

What would be a good medium sized board? I can't even remember the name & brand of my board since I only see it during the summer. But its a 9 foot long board, and I'm trying to get into the smaller ones to try all the stunt stuff.

I ride longboards so I am not well educated on shortboards. I think you'll be alright on that Rusty you picked out though. The best thing to do is call a few shops and talk to them. Tell them how big you are, what your expectations are, how experienced you are, and see what shapes and sizes they suggest.

Surf City in Myrtle Beach SC is where I bought mine from while I lived there. Mark, the owner, is a great guy to deal with.

Pit Surfshop, Aqua East, and Surf Station in St Augustine Fl are the shops I did business with while I was in Florida last week.
