This car was on MY DYNO and it was leaking NOTHING and made 450whp, thats what an RB26 with these turbos will do.

SO he lost to an SRT4, ever thing that Gearing and DRIVER may have something to do with it? or perhaps WEIGHT?

I have done ALOT more than you will ever see, I have been working on these motors before Mainstream even existed and even before Unstable Hybrids was around.

I want you to post pix of the underside of the car, esp. around the oil pan area. If the problems have been addressed then you should have no problem with doing so, but when I saw the car it was in serious need of attention.

I dont have access to dyno sheets, quit trying to change the subject to what I do. I stated what I saw and my opinion on the deal at hand, I am trying to keep people from getting shafted and all because you saw the car after it was built doenst mean that things change.

If I wasn't getting an R32 GTR, I would definitely pick that one up. BTW, if anyone is seriously ineterested in this car, they should have their mechanic/specialist take an up-close and personal check of the car. If the guy knows what he's doing, that should answer any questions prior to the purchase. As for Ivan, he's a cool guy, who's an enthusiast just like the rest of us. Good luck, Ivan!

How convienient you dont have access to dyno sheets that dont exist. Tophat doesnt have a dyno, so that means only a SELECT few in GEORGIA would have those dynos.

THe only RB26 i know of locally that made any real power was IVANSNOWs and RICEBOYS GTR. there is a Skyline being built at BALANCED PERFORMANCE right now, that might make some pretty sick power.

But since you brought this up, Im not an authority on RB26s. i never said i was, matter of fact, i get 10 phone calls a week (no exagerations) about doing RB swaps. Guess who i send them to? TOPHAT PERFORMANCE. I dont want to do RB swaps, not a fan of them, never will be. I knew mike Sims 4 years ago when Quincy had his SR 240 that he bought from them. Scot was roomates with my friend Johnzm. Did you know what SIXGUN was 4 years ago? I know Chris from Shouri from about 5 years ago who deals with Mr. Simms.

So before you come in here running your mouth about:

MMMM, RB26 240's, very fun. Who cares if they leak oil, just carry an extra quart. JK fix any oil leaks you got, they can lead to trouble. Anyway, goodluck with the sale, and keeping the twins. Last time I did a swap with 2530's, and the McKinney downpipe, I said I'd never go twins again, Big single ftw.

The car does leak oil and the mounts for that motor arent that great at all. I've personally seen the underside of that car. No i am not an rb26 genius but i do know when a car is leaking oil. that oil pan needs to be replaced. fi the car were to come back here i would take pics of it. or i can take a trip and take the pics myself

yes the oil pan had a lill leak but its fixed and all the oil from under the car was from a broken powertering line (fixed). so my car is 100% at its best . i will take some pics of under the car some time this week wenever i do my oil chage so all this hate can stop.

yes because spending 18k on a car you have to make more repairs to is real smart. in order to get top dollar for an older car, the car should be in tip top shape. why would i pay for a car that i have to repair some more? if i buy a used car it will be in the best condition it would be in. i dont care if its a tt q45 swap in a s13 chassis, if it has problems why waste my money?

maybe you like to throw away cash but i dont. its not impossible to find a leak free used car.

Dude you just described a utopia. You have to be realistic to understand what I'm trying to tell you.



When I saw this car fro the first time... I said that is one clean Nissan. Then when I looked under the hood I told Ivan that is one clean swap. Then I add a comment “I wished my turbo M3 looked like this”, Then latter that night I said..... that is one sick 240 is hella fast.



I does not matter what used car you buy, it will never be maintenance free. Quick example, if you buy a 1996 240 that has been garaged for all these years and it has maybe 20K miles on it, I guarantee you that the first month the fuel pump will go bad and a couple of bearings too; But if you buy a car like this where engine has been swap and most of the bugs had been worked out. You might have to change a part or two and be done.



If you want to find a used car that has no leaks or you wont have to invest money in it, you will be looking into buying a collector’s item; A car that has been overhauled from each bolt to each nut, and then you will end up paying over $28,000.



Or once again you can go to the nearest dealer and buy your self a 30K car that comes with a 5 year warranty. Oh and be slow as hell.... unless you buy an M5 or a carrera GT or something like that.


Shit even new cars brake a lot, if they didn’t they wouldn’t come with warranties.
