yea i would be a badass driver too if i brakeboosted in 3rd gear and only had to shift 1 time i bet he wouldn't run me from a dig or a slow roll

i like to race street and track on the street i prefer like a 10-20 roll to about 130-140 but most of nyteryders races are like a 70 roll to 140 he brake boosts in 1 gear and shifts 1 time how hard is that

Actually is about 40mph. cuz its hard on his tranny. 2nd he OBVIOUSLY has to shift if its from 40mph...NOTICE if you read the ENTIRE thread...It even says they went from a 40 roll.

please dont listen to the ignorant troll invading the kills forum we dont just race one gear we make it as even as possible you know like for example porshe vs. crx obviously the porshe can top out higher then the crx so we set like a start mph and a cut off mph it evens teh playing field

so say i raced your bike:

i got a th350 in my supra so my topend wont be as high as your and your bike can most likely see 200mph if pushed so we say ok how bout a 30 to 120 kick

    or a 40 to 150 kick

understand nothing to bad just enough to have fun and even the playing field for everyone

yea that doesnt sound like to much of a race.. Around here we usually roll at 10-20 and go as far as we can lol until someone has to break or the obvious is made. Car or bike.3

Sometimes we go from digs but usually no one wants to. To many i missed up or you left early crap that way but again it happens with a roll as well...

I never take one race into a win or lose we usually race 4 or 5 times at different start points to really compare the rides.

That makes for a better decision on who won or lose

When Jeremy and I run, we usually go from a 50-55mph roll. Anything higher than that and it's a bad spot for me. Anything under 50 and I'm going to spin my ass off.

But once in second gear seeya its all over brother. The only reason for that is because its to much power to keep down some times, And im not just saying this ill back my bike up anyday you want to play against a car on the street.
bikes are at a larger disadvantage from fast rolls.....anyone with a car trying to run a bike needs to run from ~70mph roll. I've owned/raced plenty of bikes.....

Jeremey hanging with a 1000cbr isn't out of the question....bikes arent as fast as you think....don't let the wind noise and sounds fool you.....on another note, cbr1k's aren't the fastest thing on 2 wheels....and neither is that gixxer 1k.....ever ran a zx12?

ive not seen anyone out with a 12 but if you got one id love to line them up

And as far as the 70mph roll yea the fast the roll the less the bike can perform. But dont be fooled a good rider can still make a bike pull hard at 70 sir....

My R1 is faster than a ZX12R. The 12R has more top end, but is much heavier. A friend of mine has one, I have ridden it a lot. I used to have a ZX11 also.

Cool I know that liter against a busa takes a long time and distance for the busa to catch up... so figured the same on the 12.

lol...man please! R1's are not the rage....some particular years struggle to break 130rwhp (I don't remember the years).....you are not beating zx12's with an R1...sorry! If you would have said a zx10 I would have given you some credit...lol.

My cousin has a zx12 with a full muzzy exhaust and nothing else...he can put 2+ bikes on a stock aniversary busa like it's nothing (watched him do it while we were riding together)...the busas owner is my cousin also.

My brother has a zx12 with a full akrapovic exhaust....nuff said. I've riden both bikes, as well as the busa, and I've ran the busa with my zx9(muzzy slip-on, jet kit, and k&n).

Feel free to bring that R1 down to SC., I can promise you a spanking from 2 zx12's and maybe a zx9 too

I seen you trying to bait the car guys to run you from a dig ....you have to be packing a whole lot of power and traction in a car to run with a bike from a dig.....a half ass'd bike rider can pull 1.90 and better 60' times on a bike.

What's done to your R1 vs. the zx12.....tell your friend to let me ride that zx12 and run your R1....that 12 has more rwhp and torque than your R1.....so how many busa's have you beaten with that R1?

I hope you hae actually ran the 12 and not comming to that conclusion from riding it vs. riding your bike.....I rode my cousins' busa and 12r back-to-back.....the busa has a shitload of torque....it feels like a damn diesel! ..the 12r "feels" like a big ass 600. From that, I was expecting the busa to pull on the 12r until way up in the digits....not so...as soon as they cracked the throttle, the busa would jump a half length out....the 12r would walk him before the next gear change.

I raced the busa from a 60mph kick with my '94 zx9 (muzzy slip-on, k&n, jetted)....we started in 2nd gear...he couldn't pull on me until I shifted into 4th...my bike had a fuel flow problem (line kept kinking).....I have the fuel issue fixxed and a full muzzy titanium exhaust on it now......too bad I can't run the busa again, because my cousin sold it and bought the zx14......he got tired of getting spanked by the 12r

My cousin is holding t down in our town as "da man" with his 12r....a local friend of ours bought a gixxer1k....he went to dethrone my cousin......they ran from a 60mph kick.............

..........my cousin is still "da man"

really? go run a stock busa from a 60mph roll.....then tell me the outcome. I'm not putting down your gixxer1k or david's r1....I love both bikes....I haven't seen one hand a zx12r its ass yet. I use the busas as a bench mark, because I know what a 12r will do to them....and everyone loves the overrated busas

I forgot to mention....all the races were from a rolling start.....it would be useless for any of the other bikes to run my brother or cousin from a dig....they are both lowered and stretched.

First off i didnt say anything about a 60mph kick with any of the bikes in topic. Second im not saying in the long run the 12 or busa want catch a 1000. Just that the fact is it takes a long distance and a lot of time for either to do so.. But as said again We do nothing but race everyday every chance we get so if you or the 12 wants to line them up when we come down more and glad to play with you aswell bro..
Im not saying my bike will beat or smoke any of your bikes or bikes your referring to but we differently want to find out from any of the circumstances. So that said go and race the same 12 or bus from a slower roll and let me know if my response is closer to the out come.. Trust me Ive raced a lot of busa's and from the start to 6th gear the 1000's and r1's are usually in front. Thats if the usa or 12 makes the pass before road and gear runs out.

First off no magic formula lol keep trying buddy, if you just twist the throttle in any race you have a lot to learn. Second im not trying to bait noone I started the race everyone jumped right in and said there car would win trust me i know more about all of this than you think. I didnt by a bike and Start racing yesterday. Ive been riding for 9 years im 30 years old and have been in more than a hand full of races. Ive owned everything from a katana 600 to a busa.. Ive raced almost every bike in many situations. Ive raced cars not as much but still know the difference in car and bike situations. Like Ive said time and time again on here if there is a car that can hang with a sports bike from a dig or a 10 to 20mph kick in a mile i want to see the car. And as for the other guys that want to race from a 60,70,50 etc. to what ever speed. Im ready to do that to dont really know what the out come will be in that circumstance. But as said before your more and welcome to come play as well...

My R1 is not quite stock. But it is still fairly mild, IMO. The 12R is stock except for an Akro. The power different is not that much. The weight difference is pretty big.
I haven't run against Busas. I only know one guy with one, he only races on the track - and not the 1/4 mile.

You seem to think that the 12R is the "end-all" of bikes. There is always someone faster. Most of the time, the bike does not decide the race.

And the supra wasnt there but they did race some guys with 4 or 500hp and the zx900 beat them pretty bad from what i was told. .
The bikes were a Busa (stock) and a Gixxer1000 (stock). Both driven by professional racers. Only altercations to the bikes were their mirrors had been removed and the bikes were still lowered (they raced at the track every weekend).

The cars were a Supra (around 500 rwhp) and a Viper (Venom package w/ a 200 shot). I beileve it was making around 700 rwhp (it's been a while since that race).

They were roll races and both cars lost by considerable distances; the races were not close at all. A faster Supra was intended for that race, but was unable to be ready at the time of the event.

The videos were posted on www.streetcarforums.com back when this race occured. I will look for the links to the races.

you mind telling me where that 173 is at on an R1...cuz it damn sure aint at the wheels....considering piped 12r's make 170 at the wheels, you might want to think twice.

I can talk about any bike I want...I've ridden all of them, and I own a zx9.....you were more than welcome to try me that night I was riding next to you on barrett. ...And it's obvious you haven't ran a 12r....so go run one with someone who can actually ride.

In response to your earlier reply...I'm 32 and have been riding bikes since I've been 12....you didn't answer my question to whether you actually ran the 12r or just rode it.

Yup...with equal riders, the 12r is the end-all of bikes as far as straight line performance is concerned (all stock bikes or equal mods).....the only exception is the zx14.

....And I'm no zx12r bandwagoneer.....because my next bike will most likely be a cbr1000rr with my skillz put to work.

    read and weep homie.....

    http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/Articl...ID=3149&Page=2

your precious R1 doesn't weigh 381lbs....that's the dry weight! meaning no fluids in the bike....can you race with no gas, oil, or brake fluid?....yeah didn't think so. your R1 is mre like 450lbs...but I'll give it 425lbs for arguments sake.

    Now...a zx12r is about 550lbs wet +-.....hmmm...your R1 makes ~143rwhp and 73lb.ft...12r makes 160hp and 90+lb.ft at the wheels stock......

    ....read, and keep weeping
    http://www.sportrider.com/bikes/146_..._12r_compared/

...and trust me, my argument isn't based off of some magazine, I go soley by what I witness in real life....do some power-to-weight figures and you'll see the numbers are so close it's almsot neglible.....but considering the 12 and busa have a broader power band and torque curve than you liter bike guys, that makes up nicely for the weight disadvantage....and makes life bad for you on highway rolls.

I hope you meant R1, because I wouldn't waste my time running an R6....and if your silly enough to challenge a zx9 with an r6, that must mean there is some trickery to the r6

lets see....modified r6 (has to be on the bottle or turbo'd) vs. an old school zx9....give me a second to think about that....ummmmm...no

my zx9 is in SC....toook it down labor day weekend, have no plans to bring it back to Ga.....u should have tried me when you had the chance.

It wouldn't be a problem for my Little R6 to wax that Zx9 and yes it does have the bottle but it would not be needed. the night you are refering to is when we were in barret PKWY traffic and we were beside each other for about 3 seconds and there was no thought of racing because I figued waste of time just like you say mine is. I guess since your bike is now out of state I guess we won't know I tried to step and run them to see instead od all the other on here and no races, but I guess it won't happend
