There is a 308, and there is a 288 GTO.
The 308 was probably the most higly-produced ferrari of all time. You can get a nice one for under 30k, and most of them are 15-sec cars at best. There were different models of the 308...the GTB, GTS, GTBi, GTSi.
The 288 GTO is the one bringing around $400k and they run mid 12's. They probably made under 1000 of them, although I dont know for sure. Most of them sit in private collections. The 288 looks almost exactly like a 308, although its totally different construction and there are subtle differences in styling.
A 308 and a 360, I totally agree you could find out to race.
But a 288 GTO...all I have to say is...

I raced a yellow 360 coupe with my viper once. It was lowered, had a Tubi exhaust and the Challenge rear grille. He didnt like the outcome either LOL It was a young black guy driving., but I didnt recognize him.

i've met a black guy with a yellow 360 coupe in roswell, cool guy and stuff, he was with a white guy with a black F355, they were hanging around the roswell town center Shopping center (intersection of alph hwy and holcomb birdge).

btw, im almost sure the Ferrari Dan raced had an aftermarket exhaust as well, when he dropped down a gear next to me and went WOT i could hear it over dan's car and every other car on the hihgway trying to keep up.

His thing doesn't start until 6 pm...I figure atleast 2 hrs for that....puts me at best case scenario of getting up there by no earlier than 9 pm, maybe a little later. If it's crowded, I probably wouldn't get to run but once or twice maybe.

ive got a question ive watched this video a couple of times and gotta know is maybe dan not in the right gear or is there something wrong cause aint ya'll putting down around the same numbers. not starting shit but just wondering. looks like good runs none the less i just thought the IS would have done more someone care to shine some light on me in this subject thanks

the evo overpowers it. hands down. and a very significant advantage for the EVO in gearing in that race as well.

It confuses me too... we make similar power when he's off the bottle and I think he makes more than me on the bottle. Maybe it is just my gearing like Will says.
