350z and s2000 being even in straights?... would you like to prove it?

Well my car isn't stock, so I'd have an advantage assuming you're stock.

Yes, we all know that a 350 will pull an S in the high end and freeway races because of the extra power and gearing. However, from a dig you're going to lose every time. The higher gearing and 600 pounds of weight make a big difference.

However, both cars pull a 13.7 in the qr. Two S2000 drivers have pulled a 13.6 but that is of course, extremely rare. Both cars easily hit high 13s with a good driver, so yes, basically both cars are very well matched in terms of straight speed.

    New car:
    95 S14 with RB25DET (stock boost)

    Old car:
    Turbo S2000 400hp/285tq on 9:1 comp & 11psi

i guess we can do both if you'd like (dig on a warm day, and a highway roll), but yeah i guess you are right 1/4mph wise they are pretty even stock. but highway rolls are dominated by the Z. the Z is alot easier to get 13's out of than the S2k

im not stock stock, but close.

while the rx8 isn't going to beat much on the road from a to b it is a very fun car to drive. i know i will get beaten by 95% of the cars on this forum and that doesn't bother me...the rx8 simply puts a smile on my face whenever i push it. Sure it sucks on gas and isn't the fastest car out there but i enjoy it for what it is, a perfectly balanced rwd mildy quick vehicle. atleast let me have that.

i drove an RX8 aggressively, very well balanced car, has an edge over the s2000 and 350z on a road course as far as driver feeling in control/cornering speeds go, RX8 also has superior gearing for the twisties, the only thing it needs is power.. nothing a nice Turbo kit and tune wouldnt fix

Please tell me if you think my car looks good. But don't tell me if you think it's ugly - only on IA
