You don't think 500whp can be made with a stock motor, stock turbo evo? LOL. It can be done, it just takes some thinking about HOW to make it work. Curt Brown made 500whp on a REAL 16G (evo 3 16g, not the bigger one that comes on the evo's) with his DSM on the stock block. Same car made 438whp on straight pump gas on the same turbo. No AEM needed, as he used DSMLink.Originally Posted by WickedIXMR
At any rate, the BG Evo was making 560whp or so on the stock block before it let go, but it was also out of injector on that tune. I was there, and I know first hand. As for the stock turbo record, yes, it held that record for a little while too. I believe AT THE TIME, it was 440awhp or so, but obviously, strides have been made, and that was a long time ago. The 35R kit make well over 600whp, but again, the boost on this car was never ran past 30psi, where many other people with the same cars are running much more boost now. AT THE TIME, and that's they key, because we're talking 2004-2005 season, there were no 30psi pump gas Evo's, and everyone was running the same kits.
